Xiabu is a kind of plain cloth woven from ramie as a raw material, which seems to be an ordinary cloth with a history of thousands of years. As a senior business card of Chongqing's intangible cultural heritage, Rongchang's summer cloth weaving technology has also been included in the second batch of national "intangible cultural heritage" protection list. In the Xiabu textile workshop in Rongchang, Chongqing, the workers started from the hemp stalks, soaked, beat the hemp, wore the reed, sizing, and weaving workers unwrapped the hemp of a zaza, and then split the pieces of hemp into hemp wire, took a few pieces of hemp silk and twisted them into twines, and then rolled them into small clumps like cocoon-like yarn. Subsequently, after threading, threading, brushing and drying, you can weave cloth. The tool for weaving is the shuttle, and the workers swing the heald pieces up and down the loom through the movement of their feet and waist, and the shuttle passes back and forth between the two hands, spinning out a foot of summer cloth.

According to the Notice on Publishing the List of Units for the Protection of Representative Projects of National Intangible Cultural Heritage issued by the General Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in December 2019, the list of protected units of national intangible cultural heritage representative projects after the adjustment is 3154, of which 44 are in Chongqing. Folk tales of Zouma Town, Liangping leper gongs and drums, Tujia stilt house construction techniques, Wooden Cave Mountain Songs, pottery firing techniques (Rongchang pottery making techniques), Chuanjiang trumpets, Sichuan opera, traditional production techniques of squeezing vegetables (Traditional production techniques of Fuling squeezed vegetables), Qingyin, and headlights are all listed on the list.
In terms of the inclusion of representative items of municipal intangible cultural heritage, since 2007, the Chongqing Municipal People's Government has approved the naming of six batches of municipal intangible cultural heritage lists: the first batch of 62 items; The second batch of 97 items; The third batch of 119 items; The fourth batch of 110 items; The fifth batch of 123 items; The sixth batch of 196 items, a total of 707 items.
In terms of inheriting intangible cultural heritage, Chongqing has never stopped.
