When he was young, Wang Pansheng knocked on the door of the "Dingjili" Xiao Wenbin family alone in order to find his sister Xiao Xiaoyuezhen, and the person who opened the door was Ling Aizhen, so he entered the hall of Shenqu art. The years of learning the drama "running the dragon set" were twice as long as others, and Wang Pansheng silently waited for the opportunity. The time finally came, and the performance of the Nine Star Grand Theater won the wang pansheng in one fell swoop.

In the summer of 1949, the Wenbin Theater Company left the Central Theater and moved into the Nine Star Theater, and after the new play "Money Demon" was staged, the business was still clear, and the actors had no spirit. Zheng Fulin, an old artist, looked up and down the troupe, had his own thoughts on the performance, and made suggestions to Xiao Wenbin and Wang Yaqin. Under his proposal and planning, the troupe launched four essence folding plays, "You'an Confessing Mother", "Biluo Huangquan", "New Li Sanniang" and "Ice Lady Tragic History". Who knew that the poster at the entrance of the Nine Star Theater had just been posted, which immediately attracted widespread attention, and for several days, the ticket buyers were in an endless stream, queuing all night, and the crowd of spectators watching the play made the Traffic Jam on Yan'an Road at the entrance of the theater block, and even smashed all the glass doors of the theater, and also dispatched police to maintain order.
In the four plays, in addition to "The Tragic History of the Ice Lady", the other three plays are all Wang Pansheng singing the protagonists. The images of Liu Zhiyuan, Wang Zhichao, Xu Yuanzai and so on he created were generally praised by the audience. Among them, "Zhichao Reads the Letter" singing section, Wang Pansheng sang with sincere emotion, dashing and natural, and became famous. Almost at the same time, the famous burlesque actor Xiao Liu Chunshan also learned to sing "Zhichao Reading Letters" on the radio, and then created and sang "Forced to Ask for Fang Tenants", which was similar to the word "Biluo Huangquan", once he sang hotly, he also promoted the influence of Shanghai opera "Biluo Huangquan", and since then, "Zhichao Reading Letters" has become popular and well-known, becoming a classic section of Shanghai opera, and Wang Pansheng has also gained fame. According to the recollections of insiders at the time, the new long-haired candy fried chestnut shop opposite the Nine Star Theater was sold out because it was accompanied by a single piece of lyrics from "Biluo Huangquan". Ding Weiyong, a radio announcer, even introduced Wang Pansheng to a fascinating point, saying that he had three hair tones in his throat. He also made a gimmick that Wang Pansheng came to the radio station to sing, forgot to wear a hat, and specially went to the Crane Ming Shoes and Hats Store to buy one. Who knew that after the audience inquired, the Crane Ming shoes and hat shop was in the city.
