"Now to farm is to plant a landscape"

In the autumn of October, the Rice Terraces of Jinkeng Dazhai longji terraces in Longsheng Autonomous County mature, and the golden rice fields are layered on top of each other, all over the villages and hills, looking like "the earth flowing gold", forming a spectacular natural wonder, attracting tens of millions of Chinese and foreign tourists to come to visit.

And who would have thought that this world-renowned Longji Rice Terrace was once "far away in the mountains and no one knows". Villagers guard the green water and green mountains to live a poor life, and Dazhai Village, which is in the core scenic spot of Longji Rice Terraces, has become a well-known "relief village" and "blood selling village".

Pan Baoyu, secretary of the Dazhai Village branch, told reporters: "Before the development of tourism, the traffic here was basically relied on walking, it was difficult for people in the mountains to go out, and it was difficult for people outside to come in. It turned out that the family planted more than a dozen acres of rice fields was not enough to eat, and oil and salt could not afford to buy. Now farming is planting scenery, rice can not be eaten and dividends, the happy life of our people is pinned on this scenery. ”

In 2003, the local government introduced Longji Tourism Company to operate in the mode of "government + company + farmer", sharing 7% of the ticket revenue to the villagers, and the village collective dividend of 147,000 yuan in the first year, the dividend increased year by year, reaching 1.1 million yuan in the sixth year. "In 2016, our entire village income, including tickets, dividends and farming incentive subsidies, totaled 7.2 million yuan." Pan Baoyu said.

In addition, The Dazhai Village Farmhouse Homestay also came into being. At present, 212 of the 276 villagers in Dazhai Village have opened homestays. "Before the development of tourism, there were no tourists, and they could not fill their stomachs by farming, and even pesticides could only be bought by going out to work." Now farming has dividends, open farms, Golden Week, the least one household in our village earns 40,000 yuan in 7 days, and the most earns 80,000 yuan. Life now is a sea change from the past. Pan Fengren, the owner of Dazhai Village, said happily.

"The villagers of Dazhai, who used to try to fly out of the mountains and just want to go out to work and eat a full meal, are now going home to open farms and sell local specialties. Once because they were too poor, most of the male children in the village could not marry their daughters-in-law, and now people from outside want to marry into our village. The baby girl used to just want to marry out and leave this poor ravine, but now all those who marry out are back. "The income of residents in Dazhai Village has jumped from a per capita income of less than 8,000 yuan in 2015 to more than 15,000 yuan in 2019, becoming a wealthy village."

Do enough landscape articles to drive the people of the county to get rid of poverty and become rich

Dazhai Village's poverty alleviation is a microcosm of the remarkable results achieved by Longsheng in poverty alleviation through eco-tourism. Jiang Wenming, deputy county magistrate of Longsheng Autonomous County, told reporters: "Under the guidance of the concept of 'two mountains', Longsheng has done enough landscape articles to determine the planning idea of 'the county's large scenic spots, the whole area of great tourism' and the development model of 'raising mountains with mountains and raising people with mountains', and through the development of tourism, drive the people of the county to get rid of poverty and become rich." ”

In addition to the Longji Rice Terraces, which has long been launched as Guangxi's eco-tourism business card, Longsheng has also built a "eco-tourism poverty alleviation" ring road, with a total length of more than 300 kilometers, connecting a total of 89 administrative villages in 10 townships in the county, stringing the main tourist attractions in the county into a line and stringing the lines into pieces, turning the county into a large scenic spot and activating the cultural tourism resources of Longsheng.

Entering the Jinzhu Zhuangzhai in the Longji Scenic Area of Longji Town, Zhuang's sister-in-law Liao Yanqin and Liao Hongjun sang the joy of today's happy life with sweet songs.

While enlarging and strengthening the Longji Rice Terrace brand, Longsheng has also successively launched differentiated terrace tourism products: Surabaya Township Buni Rice Terrace Scenic Area focuses on creating flower terraces, allowing tourists to watch the terraces from the air; Guzhuangzhai launches colorful terraces to attract tourists by planting colorful rice; Xiaozhai sows rape flowers after the autumn harvest to extend the viewing period of the terraces; Zhangjiamiao Village in Mati Township launches a farming experience that integrates planting seedlings and touching fish; minhe Miaozhai launches a cantaloupe picking farming experience tour. At present, the development area of Longsheng Rice Terrace Farming Tourism has reached 120,000 mu, forming a unique brand of terrace sightseeing tour and farming experience tour. "Longji tea is mainly grown in the high mountains above 800 meters above sea level in Longji Mountain Village, relying on the excellent ecological environment, green tea can sell for more than 2,000 yuan a pound, black tea 600-800 yuan a pound, the supply is in short supply." Xie Mingshu, head of the tea garden contract planting company, Longji Rong Cultural Tourism Industry Co., Ltd., told reporters.

Xie Mingshu contracted tea gardens for organic planting and created ecological organic tea - Longji tea, which is a microcosm of Longsheng's implementation of ecological agriculture to alleviate poverty and develop green agricultural products with regional characteristics relying on excellent ecological environment.
