Why is there a "sea" on the plateau?

Originally, this was influenced by the Mongols, who called the lake "Haizi". More than a hundred years ago, there was no "sea" here, but a rich meadow, and a hole flowed through the grass and suddenly disappeared in a funnel-like "sinkhole" and dived into the ground. In the twenty-seventh year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (1847), because of heavy rains and flash floods, sand and stones blocked the drainage and water caves in this area, blocking the sinkholes, so a large amount of water was accumulated here, rising bigger and bigger, spreading wider and wider, so that lakes were formed. The sea of grass is very shallow, with a maximum depth of only 5 meters. Because of this, the bottom of the lake is full of aquatic grasses, called "grass sea". The area of the grass sea is 27. 5 square kilometers, with it as the center of a nature reserve, with water surface, swamp-based core area of 40 square kilometers, 45 square kilometers of rainy slope area around the sea, agricultural and forestry land of 35 square kilometers.
