Huang Yonggui, a villager in his late 70s, is a well-known pepper grower in the local area and has been growing peppers for more than 50 years. He said that the land in the village belongs to flint soil, and the peppers planted are very good to sell in the market, and one mu of peppers can probably collect more than 200 kilograms of dried peppers, and the selling price is relatively high.

As he grew older, Huang Yonggui began to turn to the processing of bad peppers in recent years. In the local area, not only Huang Yonggui's family is doing bad pepper processing, so the Wanzi community has integrated the large pepper households in the village to form a professional cooperative, from planting to processing and sales integration.

"In 2021, a professional cooperative will be established, and after the pepper harvest, every household will process it into a bad pepper." Zhou Yuanjun, general secretary of the Wanzi Community Party Branch, said that as long as farmers make it, they can sell it.

In Mukong Town, Jinsha County, pepper cultivation has a long history, and "Bent Zi Chao Tian Pepper" is well-known in the local area and favored by merchants. "Wanzi pepper" has won the title of national geographical indication protection product, and the sales revenue of the Wanzi pepper series products produced in 2021 exceeded 10 million yuan.

Located in the Wanzi Community Market, Guizhou Longxi Food Co., Ltd., covering an area of nearly 100 acres, beautiful environment, advanced production equipment, this pepper products production enterprise invested by locals, in 2021 is expected to acquire 11,000 tons of fresh peppers, more than 1,200 tons of dried peppers, products sold well in Guangdong, Hunan, Sichuan, Chongqing and other 13 provinces and cities, sales income of more than 60 million yuan.

"Adopting the integrated supply and marketing model of 'company + base + farmer' and 'order + service', in addition to providing mulch film, fertilizer and free technical guidance, it also signed a reserve price purchase agreement with farmers." You Jianhua, chairman of the company, said that if the market price is higher than the guaranteed reserve price, the company will buy peppers at the market price, and vice versa, it will buy peppers at the guaranteed reserve price, and farmers must not be allowed to suffer losses.

According to the data, the planting area of pepper in Jinsha County reached 102,000 mu, of which 30 industrial bases of hundreds of mu were concentrated, and the output was expected to reach 150,000 tons in 2021, and pepper products (products) were sold throughout the country, driving more than 15,000 farmers to increase their income.
