The second term: Chen Jiayou, formed in February 1928 under the renaming of Chen Jiayoude's 13th Army, and later downsized to the 50th Division
Third term: Sun Dianying, formed in January 1930 as the 29th Division
Fourth term: Cao Fulin, promoted to commander of the 29th Division in April 1930, later downsized to the 29th Division
Fifth term: Wei Lihuang, formed in June 1933 as the 10th Division and the 83rd Division
Sixth term: Li Mo'an, promoted to commander of the 10th Division in October 1937
Seventh term: Chen Tie, promoted from the commander of the 85th Division in June 1938
Eighth term: Zhang Jipeng, promoted from the commander of the 85th Division in March 1943
Ninth term: Yu Jinyuan, promoted from deputy commander of the 10th Army in February 1945
Tenth term: Luo Guangwen, transferred from the commander of the 87th Army in August 1945
Eleventh term: Xiong Shouchun, promoted from deputy commander of the 14th Army in December 1947
Twelfth term: Zhang Jipeng, re-established the 14th Army in January 1949 with the remnants of the army
Thirteenth term: Cheng Gang, transferred in June 1949 as commander of the 102nd Army
