He was killed by the pain of life, and because of his great merit, he was posthumously honored as emperor by his nephew

author:Brain Cave History Museum

Many friends who like history do not understand why the Sima family has produced so many people who are either weak or incompetent, and can still enjoy the world for so many years? There was no way, there was such a cruel person in the ancestors of the people, Sima Shi.

When Emperor Sima Yan of the Jin Dynasty became emperor, he posthumously honored his father Emperor Sima Zhaowen, his grandfather Emperor Sima Yixuan, and his uncle Emperor Sima Shijing. In history, only sons worship their fathers, and grandsons worship their grandfathers as emperors, so why did Sima Yan posthumously honor his uncle as emperor? The reason is that Sima Shi's credit is too great.

He was killed by the pain of life, and because of his great merit, he was posthumously honored as emperor by his nephew

Sima Shi

Sima Shi was the eldest son of Sima Yi's wife Zhang Chunhua, and the year cao Cao forcibly recruited Sima Yi into the dynasty as an official, Sima Yi was born and grew up in the capital from an early age. His circle of friends was also basically the second generation official or noble prince brother, including Xiahou Xuan, the son of the general Xiahou Shang of Zhengnan (who was also Sima Shi's brother-in-law), Cao Cao's son-in-law He Yan, and Zhuge Liang's cousin Zhuge Shi. These people are mixed together all day long, in addition to the vassal style, they also like to talk about some metaphysical problems, and get rid of the ancient version of the capital city. After a long time, some officials looked at them unhappy and told Emperor Cao Rui about them. The Wei emperor Cao Rui was originally unhappy with He Yan and Zhuge Birthday and a group of people, and just wrote an edict to severely reprimand them. Although this is not a substantial punishment, it is equivalent to being recorded as a big punishment just after joining the work, and no unit dares to use you. This incident hit Sima Shi very hard, and at the age of twenty years old, he was born in a famous family and was preparing to make a meritorious career, and suddenly he had memorized such a punishment and could only eat the old man at home. At the age of 25, he stayed at home for seven years, until Cao Rui's death, sima Yi served as an auxiliary minister, and Sima Shi was able to serve as a central protector.

No one knows how he came through these 7 years, in short, after the re-emergence of Sima Shi's temperament, he was no longer the former brother of the windy son, but became calm, calm, and decisive. He is no longer willing to make friends with people, and anyone is a superior-subordinate relationship, I will reuse you if you do things beautifully, and I will punish you if things are messed up. When Sima Shi was serving as a central protector, there was a subordinate named Shi Bao, who was born poor, but there were many small problems on his body, greedy for money and lustful. If in the past, Sima Shi absolutely could not look at it, but now, Sima Shi's view of people is no longer based on personal likes and dislikes to decide who is good and who is good or not, and he is a cold eye on everyone. Over time, he also found that Shi Bao also had many advantages, such as not being afraid of death in battle, leading soldiers is a good hand, and the most important thing is to be loyal to people. After a long time, I took him as my right and left arm. Even Sima Yi did not understand the use of such a person: "How can you reuse such a greedy and lustful person?" But Sima Shi said, "Was Guan Zhong greedy for money in the past?" Was Cao Cao, the Emperor of Weiwu, lustful? As long as I have talent, I reuse him. A sentence made Sima Yi dumbfounded. And Shi Bao, who really did not live up to the expectations of Sima Shi, later made great military achievements for the Sima family and became one of the founding heroes of the Western Jin Dynasty.

The Change of Gaopingling

After a long time, Sima Yi found that the boss Sima Shi was really stable. Big things and small things, handed over to the boss, can be done steadily. Therefore, Sima Yi was such a cautious person, who could not be trusted by anyone, and was willing to discuss things with Sima Shi, because he needed Sima Shi's help. For example, secretly raising 3,000 dead soldiers, this matter was exposed, but it was a major crime of extermination, and even Sima Zhao did not dare to tell it, but this matter was entrusted to Sima Shi to handle.

The night before the Gaopingling rebellion, Sima Yi told Sima Shi and Sima Zhaoge about his plan and told them to go to bed early tonight. After that, he sent someone to secretly observe and see how the two sons reacted. Sima Zhao was very nervous and couldn't sleep all night. Sima Shi, on the other hand, behaved unusually calmly and went to sleep at the point. Although it is said that Sima Shi may know more about the inside information and is a little mentally prepared, the next day he did a big thing to exterminate the clan, won the world, and lost the dissuasion and questioning. Being able to be calm like this is enough to see how terrible Sima Shi's mental quality is. I reckon that at this moment, Sima Yi's heart has already determined that once the big thing is successful, this man is the master of the future world.

Sure enough, after Sima Yi's death, Sima Shi also inherited Sima Yi's rights as he wished, and became a general of the State of Wei. At this time, don't think that the Sima family's jiangshan is already very stable, and what Sima Yi left for Sima Shi is still a mess. The Huainan Military Region in Yangzhou was dissatisfied with the Sima family, and there had been a rebellion before; the little emperor Cao Fang had grown up and was becoming increasingly difficult to control; Shu Han and Eastern Wu were now eyeing the State of Wei. However, Sima Shi first ascended to a high position and immediately entered the role. After taking power, he personally formulated a set of laws and regulations for the selection of officials, let the hundred officials elect talents according to law, and quickly promoted a number of talents, which stabilized the situation. At the same time, Sima Shi made clear internal rewards and punishments, and never favoritism. Once, at the Battle of Dongxing, Sima Zhao's 70,000 troops were defeated by Zhuge Ke's 40,000 troops, which made Zhuge Ke's voice in Shu Han greatly shaken. Sima Shi did not hesitate to shake Sima Zhao to the end, and even stripped him of his title.

The following year, Zhuge Ke, who was full of self-confidence, decided to inherit Sun Quan's legacy and led an army of 200,000 to attack Hefei again. Sima Shi analyzed that Zhuge Ke was arrogant and proud, and he led 200,000 troops to attack himself at a time, certainly not to fight a protracted war with me, but to complete his merits in one battle. Well, I'll spend time with him. He also ordered 200,000 troops to his uncle Sima Fu to oversee the army, build a high platform, hoard grain and grass, and slowly fight to wait for work. Zhuge Ke ordered his soldiers to attack the city with all their might, and after a few months, more than half of the troops were killed and wounded, and the soldiers were exhausted. At this time, Sima Shi also ordered Yangzhou to assassinate Shi Wenqin to block Zhuge Ke's retreat, and Zhuge Ke was horrified, lost his troops, and fled back to Jiangdong. Since then, Zhuge Ke has no longer had the style of the original Battle of Dongxing, and has never dared to come back to wei to cause trouble.

After these two events, the officials in the government and the public who had ideas about Sima Shi were all convinced. Seeing that Sima Shi's position was becoming more and more stable, and there was no hope of his own pro-government, Cao Fang became more and more anxious. So he once again directed the "YiDai Zhao" to unite with Zhongshu Ling Li Feng, and Xiahou Xuan wanted to launch a coup d'état to eliminate the Sima family and regain power in one fell swoop. However, the matter was revealed, and Sima Shi faced these chaotic thieves and showed even more ruthless wrists than Sima Yi. The masterminds Li Feng, Xiahou Xuan, and Zhang Jiyi, the little emperor Cao Fang, were deposed. This scene was so cold-blooded that Sima Zhao couldn't look at it anymore, saying: Big brother, Xiahou Xuan is your eldest brother-in-law, even if you want to kill him, can you look at the face of your sister-in-law who has died for many years and let his family go. Sima Shi still couldn't see any expression and said, "Zi Shang, when our family was in trouble, what would happen if it fell into their hands?" Sima Zhao, you have given me to remember, cut the grass without removing the roots, and the spring wind blows and grows again!

How did Sima Shi die? In 255 AD, the Zhendong general Yuqiu Jian and the Yangzhou assassin Shi Wenqin jointly rebelled. Sima Shi personally went to suppress the rebellion, but unfortunately, halfway through, his eye disease attacked, and he had to camp immediately for surgery. Just at this time, it was a coincidence that Wen Qin's son Wen Ying just touched Sima Shi's camp, and the operation was just halfway through, and such an urgent situation occurred, Sima Shi was excited, and his injured eyes burst out of his eye sockets. In order to stabilize the hearts of the army, Sima Shi bit the sheet and did not say a word. Wen Ying played outside for half a day without knowing that Sima Shi was inside, and then withdrew. Looking back, the sheets were all bitten off by Sima Shi. Even so, Sima Shi endured his injuries and illness, and insisted on suppressing the rebellion before the class returned to the dynasty. After returning home, he put all of Yuqiu Jian and Wen Qin's family to death as long as they were still in the State of Wei. After dealing with all these things, Sima Shi's illness finally could not be suppressed, and he died of pain.

Sima Shi reigned for four years, both military and internal affairs, which won a very stable environment for the later Sima Zhao and Sima Yan to take the throne. Sima Shi can be said to be the founder of the Western Jin Dynasty.

His most unfortunate thing is that he has an eye injury, which makes him die prematurely, if he is the founding emperor, then the Western Jin Dynasty's wind evaluation will not be as bad as it is now, at least it is the same dynasty as the Sui Dynasty. If you are Sima Yan, the Emperor of Jinwu, and there is such an uncle in the family, are you full of admiration? Isn't it too much to give him an emperor title?
