Dayang Ancient Town, known as "Yang'a", is a "famous historical and cultural town in China", with a history of more than 2600 years, nearly 35 square meters of ancient buildings in the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, which is rare in China. Historically, this was the hometown of the Han Dynasty dancer Zhao Feiyan, known as the "town of coal and iron", "Kyushu needle capital", "three Jin and one town" reputation.
Strolling through the ancient town, the city and pool forts, streets and alleys, official residences and commercial residences, pavilions and beams, temples and shrines abound, brick and stone, grass and trees all exude vicissitudes.
"Dayang Ancient Town, historically the Qin Emperor set up a county, the Han lord feudal state, the Western Yan set up a county, it has been the county, houguo, county for more than eight hundred years. During the Ming and Qing dynasties of Dayang, officials such as Lin, local folk songs 'there are officials less than Dayang boast' and 'Dayang out of three buckets and three liters of sesame officials' truly reflect the flourishing of dayang's literary fortunes at that time, and the officials were repeated. Laojie, which is the central axis of Dayang Ancient Town, walks on the old street, where the gates of storytellers, singers, jugglers, and entertainers, dignitaries and rich merchants are facing the street. In front of the eight-character gate, there is a display of atmosphere, openness and tolerance; in the courtyard of deep houses, many little-known stories are staged; and there are still generations of people living in the alleys.

The town history museum on the old street concentrates on the characters, history and culture of Dayang, allowing tourists to understand the glorious history of the ancient town. In the ancient French Iron Museum, hospitable masters can teach tourists to play iron, make small crafts, and experience the unique handmade needles.
In the cultural compound, the most traditional Han and Tang Dynasty classical dances in southeastern Jin, "Selling Needle Songs" walking in the streets, and Shangdang drum book "Guzi Good" and other folk experiences are all signboard roads and housekeeper skills. In the traditional wood museum, you can experience the fun of pulling saws, shavings, tenons, and fighting arches.

At the same time, Dayang is moving towards the direction of digitalization and intelligence, and will build the scenic spot into a new landmark of cultural tourism in Jincheng. Since the beginning of this year, it has cooperated with the Shanxi University Cultural and Creative Alliance to create the first "Taihang Ancient Castle (Dayang) International Creation Exhibition", which has carried out creative design of the ancient town in terms of digitalization, environment, space, visual communication, public art, products, etc., and helped Jincheng Castle to declare "World Cultural Heritage".
