On the morning of September 28, in the lecture hall of a major memorial hall of the Communist Party of China, the solemn melody of "Ode to the Red Flag" sounded, and Lu Qiming, the winner of the "July 1st Medal" wearing a white jacket and red shirt, and an adviser to the Shanghai Music Association and the Shanghai Film Association, stepped onto the podium in a strong spirit and gave the "first lesson of joining the Association" for 60 new members of the Shanghai Music Association and the Shanghai Film Association.
How to inherit the artistic pursuit and moral conduct of the older generation of writers and artists and create a new style of the industry with a clean and healthy atmosphere is a compulsory course for young literary and art workers to embark on the road of literature and art. In the "First Lesson of Joining the Association", Lu Qiming recounted his process from accepting the task of composing the orchestral overture "Ode to the Red Flag" to its successful completion. Although "Ode to the Red Flag" was created when he was 35 years old, he actually spent his life refining it, and it was not revised until 2019.
He warned young literary and art workers that works are not for self-congratulation, but for the purpose of gaining the love of the people. "What do the people love? Of course it is true, good, and beautiful, not false, evil, or ugly. Therefore, in order to create works of truth, goodness and beauty, the creators themselves must have a true, good and beautiful mind. We must learn from the masses, from life, and from national culture. ”
He encouraged young literary and art workers to persist in creating for the people, strive for excellence in creation, and become literary and artistic workers with both moral integrity and art. "It is a joy to be able to quietly and cleanly engage in the creations you like and create works that the people like."
Receiving the membership card from Lu Qiming's hand, Yan Yikuan, a young actor and a new member of the Shanghai Film Association, sighed with emotion: "The older generation of artists can still maintain their passion and persistence in creating in a difficult and dangerous environment. Every time you revisit Lü Lao's works, you will be excited, and such creations not only require solid life experience, but also ideals and feelings in your heart. Born in this great era, we should work harder and concentrate on cultivating our business capabilities. Lu Lu, a new member of the Shanghai Music Association, also said that he will use an old artist like Lu Qiming, who is both virtuous and artistic, as a compass to dedicate outstanding works of art to the people and the times.
At the entrance ceremony, Lu Qiming presented the "Ode to the Red Flag" music score published by the Shanghai Music Publishing House to the Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature, a major memorial hall, the Shanghai Music Association, and the Shanghai Film Association, which is the latest version after his continuous revision. Cai Ying, a young member of the Shanghai Music Association, and Zhao Qianjing, a young member of the Shanghai Film Association, collaborated to perform the soundtrack poem recitation "O Motherland, My Dear Motherland".
