On April 14th, the third day of the third lunar month, shangwei festival, the birthplace of the Famous Chinese calligraphy "Orchid Pavilion Preface" in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, the "37th Lanting Calligraphy Festival and the 7th Chinese Calligraphy Lanting Award" series of activities kicked off, which is a contemporary Chinese calligraphy event. Chen Huan, as the inductee of the Lanting Award, attended the event. "Writing techniques and technical skills need to be constantly honed. Comprehensive cultivation is an endless learning. The thickness of history, the greatness of culture, the promotion of the essence of the country, the inheritance of calligraphy, the continuation of the context, and the creation of brilliance, my generation has a heavy responsibility, do not dare to slacken off! This is Chen Huan's acceptance speech at Lanting.
As a "post-80s" young writer, Chen Huan has a strong sense of social responsibility and responsibility: "We shoulder the historical mission of rejuvenating Chinese culture and promoting the tao and keeping the right way." This kind of responsibility and responsibility comes from his personal experience and understanding: for example, once, a friend gave him a few seal characters to help interpret the interpretation, and asked "is it a bright future" or not. At the beginning of 2020, Chen Huan established a "daily one-word" WeChat group, teaching everyone to recognize a relatively strange Chinese character in the group every day: there are several pronunciations, several interpretations, and calligraphic expressions of oracle bone, gold script, big seal, and small seal. There are 180 people in this group, most of whom are young people, most of whom are lovers of traditional culture and calligraphy. This group is usually quiet, Chen Huan will quietly update every day, everyone has something they don't understand in the group, and they also have to answer. If the update time is late on a certain day, someone will come out and ask, and then many people will echo it. Everyone said it was waiting. Chen Huan felt that there were so many young people walking with him, and he was very relieved.
The news that Chen Huan was selected for the Lanting Award this time was that someone broke the news in the "Daily One Word" group, and there were still people in the group who broke the news that In the past two years, Chen Huan has become an award-winning professional household: last year he participated in the "China Power -- National Poverty Alleviation Calligraphy Exhibition"; at the beginning of this year, he was selected for the "Great Cause -- Calligraphy Exhibition Celebrating the Centenary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China"; some works were collected by the National Museum, and so on. Chen Huan, the leader of the group, played a string of symbols and said, "Thank you for your encouragement, I want to work harder." The words were very ordinary, and Chen Huan said that these were his inner words.
Chen Huan is not good at words, and the crowd is usually the quietest one. He often used his holidays to go to remote mountainous areas to teach Chinese studies and calligraphy classes for children, and to teach calligraphy culture in the classrooms of primary and secondary schools in Changsha. To do this, he does not like to say it, but some new media will do reports, pictures and so on. He said that as a volunteer who promotes traditional culture, he is very happy and insignificant.
In April, Yuelu Mountain, lush vegetation, youlan wild. This was the first time that he had climbed Yuelu Mountain, and the first time he had sat quietly in the inferiority pavilion in front of Yuelu Academy, Chen Huan couldn't remember clearly. Returning from Lanting, he was bent on coming to the Inferiority Pavilion for a walk. Just like those who have been wandering, have been troubled, have had moments of arrogance or complacency, they must come to the inferiority pavilion to walk and sit. The name of the inferiority pavilion comes from the "Middle Way", "The way of a gentleman, such as going far, will be self-defeating; for example, ascending to a high level, it will be inferior." "It means that the method of cultivating man's character is like a long journey, which must begin from a near place; like climbing a peak, he must start from a low place. Chen Huan liked the "Inferiority Pavilion" plaque written by Che Wanyu, the mountain chief of Yuelu Academy during the Kangxi Dynasty, and preferred the true meaning of "inferiority".
Chen Huan walked to the lonely, simple and unpretentious inferiority pavilion, and then looked up at the Yuelu Academy, which had been sitting in the smoke and clouds of history for a thousand years but still standing majestically, from inferiority to self-confidence, in fact, there was only a distance of two hundred meters.
After lanting returned to the inferiority pavilion, Chen Huan had a deeper understanding: the inferiority pavilion is a door of humility - humility to Chinese history and culture.
