Like Qianlong, he went to be emperor, otherwise he would have reigned longer than Kangxi

Recently, I saw someone on the Internet conclude that there are fourteen emperors in Chinese history who have reigned for more than forty years. Yongxuan made a list of it as follows:

<col>

Kangxi

61 (years)

(West) Xia Chongzong

53 (years)

Qianlong

60 years

Liao Shengzong

49 (years)

Emperor

54 (years)

Myōjin Sect

48 (years)

(West) Xia Renzong

Emperor Wu of Liang

47 (years)

Liao Daozong

46 (years)

Ming Shizong

45 years

Tang Xuanzong

Song Renzong

42 (years)

Song Lizong

41 (years)

Liu Chan, Emperor Huai of the Shu Han Dynasty

40 (years)

From this, we can see that the longest reign was none other than Kangxi, which is also a foregone conclusion. However, Kangxi was able to create this first without the humility of his grandson Emperor Gaozong Qianlong.

Like Qianlong, he went to be emperor, otherwise he would have reigned longer than Kangxi

On February 8, 1796, Qianlong, who had been on the throne for sixty years, did not want to exceed the reign of his grandfather Kangxi, so he announced that the throne would be passed to his son, and issued an order to change the name of Jiaqing to the next day. In fact, this is only a form, and the real power is still in the hands of Lao Zi Qianlong.

Qianlong's life as Emperor Taishang was still comfortable after all, and in the blink of an eye, he lived for three more years, and on February 7, 1799, Qianlong died at the age of 89.

If Qianlong was not the Emperor Taishang, then he reigned for 63 years, thus surpassing Kangxi.

However, in Chinese history, the emperor who reigned longer than kangxi, in addition to Qianlong, there was one more. That was Emperor Gaozong of Song.

Some people may complain that this comrade Zhao Zhuo has not only been emperor for 36 years? Yes, but he also became the Emperor.

In the second year of Jing Kang, that is, in 1127 AD, on the first day of May, the Great Song Suffered the "Jing Kang Revolution", and Emperor Huizong and Emperor Qinzong were captured by Jin Bing and escorted to the north.

Like Qianlong, he went to be emperor, otherwise he would have reigned longer than Kangxi

As the Grand Marshal of the Terracotta Army of Hebei, Zhao Zhuo took the throne at Yingtianfu in Nanjing (present-day Shangqiu, Henan Province), changed his name to Yuan Jianyan, and became the first emperor of the Southern Song Dynasty.

The Southern Song Court presided over by Zhao Zhuo was bent on seeking peace and avoiding war, and wanted to be partial to the south. Subsequently, a "Shaoxing Peace Conference" was held.

"The subject said that the present dynasty is bounded by the huai river, and the western part of Tang and Dengzhou belong to the shangguo. It is bounded by forty miles west of Dengzhou and forty miles south, and belongs to Dengzhou. Forty miles away and southwest of it belonged to the Gwanghwa Army, which was a disadvantage. Along the border state city, both by grace, Xu Beifang, descendants of the world, keep the festival of subjects. Every year on the emperor's birthday and on the first day of the day - the envoys are greeted endlessly. Year Gong Silver, Ji 250,000 taels, horses, led by the year of Nongshu, sent to Sazhou every spring to pay. There is this alliance of Chongqing, the ming god is interesting, the fall of the dead clan, the road to its country. ”

The Southern Song Dynasty submitted to Jin, and cut off land and paid tribute. Nevertheless, the peace talks did not last long. In 1161, King Jin Hailing tore up the peace talks and attacked the Song state from the south. Zhao Zhuo was frightened again, but fortunately, soon after Yan Liang was killed by his subordinates, Jin Shizong completed Yan Yong and took the throne.

So the Song court asked for peace again. Emperor Gaozong of Song was distraught and had the idea of abdicating, and in the negotiations, the relationship between the Jin and Song dynasties would become an "uncle-nephew" relationship, and Zhao Shuo, who was already in his fifties, would call Jin Shizong, who was in his thirties, his uncle. This was unbearable, so he abdicated with an iron heart. On the grounds of "tired diligence", the throne was passed on to his adopted son Zhao Xuan for Emperor Xiaozong of Song.

Like Qianlong, he went to be emperor, otherwise he would have reigned longer than Kangxi

He no longer has to worry about tedious political affairs, and is at ease to be the emperor. Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty did not know that Zhao Shuo, who no longer moved bricks, lived a very comfortable life and spent twenty-five years unconsciously.

On November 9, 1187, Zhao Zhuo died at the age of 81.

Yongxuan sighed that Comrade Zhao Zhuo had been the Emperor Taishang for 25 years, which was truly unique. If he had not abdicated, he would have reigned for more than 61 years, at least tied for first place with Kangxi. In addition, it is interesting that Qianlong and Zhao Shuo, one is Qing Gaozong, the other is Song Gaozong, the temple number is the same, there are many common points, it is really ingenious!

In this regard, netizens, what do you think?
