The general trend of the world will be divided for a long time, and it will be united for a long time. - Romance of the Three Kingdoms
Historically, no dynasty has ruled forever. At the time of the Tang Dynasty, it could even be said that it was the top country in the whole world, but even so, it eventually went to extinction.
The occurrence of the famous "Anshi Rebellion" in history not only ended the peaceful and prosperous situation since the beginning of the new century, but also dealt a heavy blow to the Tang Dynasty.
Since then, the dynasty has entered a long period of division of the feudal town, and eventually weakened and disintegrated in the destruction of various forces.

As we all know, the "An Shi Rebellion" was a rebellion provoked by An Lushan and Shi Siming, but the real culprits that caused this chaos were not the two of them, so who was it?

The Tang Dynasty was one of the most powerful states in China's history, thanks to the rule of successive emperors.
Under the tyranny of the Sui Dynasty, the life of the common people was very difficult. There were uprisings in various places, and finally Li Yuan unified the world and established the Tang Dynasty. After Tang Taizong ascended the throne, compared with the rulers of the Sui Dynasty, he loved the people like a son, worked hard to govern, and even had the famous "rule of Zhenguan" in history.
The emperors after Tang Taizong were all called a generation of Ming Emperors, so they also had the reputation of the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
Although Tang Xuanzong could also be called a generation of Ming Emperors at the beginning of his term of office, under his rule, he also created the prosperous era of the rule of Kaiyuan, and it was also the peak of the Tang Dynasty.
But the phrase "prosperity and decline" is not unreasonable, since then the Tang Dynasty due to the national peace and security, the people's life is also very good, so Tang Xuanzong began to enjoy life, no longer concerned about political affairs.
Some of the traitors seized the opportunity to persuade the emperor to use the generals, so An Lushan and Shi Siming gradually became Tang Xuanzong's confidants.

Judging from the historical data, from the launch to the overthrow of the "Anshi Rebellion", from beginning to end, Xuanzong did not push the responsibility on others, nor did he think that it was a problem of anyone else, but blamed himself.
In fact, An Lushan's rebellion was indeed created by him. First of all, although An Lushan had small merits, his cultural level was low; secondly, he acted arbitrarily in the palace, and he was flattering and pleasing to Yang Guifei, turning a deaf ear to the advice of the chancellor, and did not have the consciousness of thinking of danger in peace, and the older he got, the more wanton he became;
Finally, An Lushan was a general of the clan, and the clan generals themselves had strong military ability, but they were too independent, and if this type of army could not be controlled by the Tang dynasty royal family, it would make a sharp blade unfavorable to the central government, and this was indeed the case.
After Emperor Xuanzong of Tang reused the generals, An Lushan and Shi Siming gained fame and status in the imperial court. However, due to An Lushan's various behaviors, it not only left a gap for some ministers to fight for power, but also laid the groundwork for the turmoil and decline of the later dynasties.
Until An Lushan saw that Tang Xuanzong was old, and he himself had a bad relationship with the prince, and was afraid of retaliation, finally An Lushan led 150,000 rebels to Chang'an, under the slogan of "Qing Jun's side", and finally successfully occupied Chang'an.
But An Lushan was a cruel man, and many people could not stand his behavior, and were soon killed by his son An Qingxu. The Tang army seized the opportunity to launch a counterattack, and the rebel army without a general was scattered, and Chang'an was finally retaken.

Shi Siming and An Lushan are fellow villagers, the two initially had a good relationship, and Shi Siming has been working for him under An Lushan.
However, between the imperial courts, the rapid changes, the ambitious Shi Siming saw an An Lushan killed, he analyzed the current situation, so he decided to establish himself as king.
While transferring An Lushan's property to his own, he secretly gathered the fleeing army, and the money and wealth were in his hands to truly feel at ease, but these actions naturally made him a thorn in the eye of An Lushan's son An Qingxu.
However, Shi Siming was a man of strategy, and he was very clever in choosing to make a plan and immediately submitted a letter of surrender to the Tang Dynasty.
At this time, the Tang Dynasty naturally would not attack Shi Siming, and An Qingxu, the son of An Lushan, was the current important target. Shi Siming was safe for the time being, but the surrender was naturally a false surrender, and he continued to recruit troops privately.
However, it soon attracted the attention of the imperial court, so it was decided to design its killing. Unexpectedly, the plan leaked out, and Shi Siming immediately chose to cooperate with An Qingxu.
The Tang army was defeated under their attack. Shi Siming, who had never been willing to live under the people, took advantage of this to kill An Qingxu with his backhand, and then took his troops under his command, and eventually became the emperor of his dreams.
Such a powerful and prosperous dynasty could not escape the fate of extinction. After the Anshi Rebellion, the Tang Dynasty undoubtedly suffered a major blow, and the former glory began to decline, and it will never come back.
Although An Lushan was the one who provoked the trouble, he was killed not long after, and the person who really pulled the timeline of the Chang'an Shi Rebellion was another initiator, Shi Siming, who carried out the An Shi Rebellion throughout.
Therefore, some people will think that if Shi Siming had not died too quickly, the Tang Dynasty might have perished early.
