author:Bright Net

According to Xinhua News Agency (reporter Qiu Bingqing) In order to solve the last two murders before retirement, Gu Ying, former head of the criminal police detachment of the Nantong City Public Security Bureau in Jiangsu Province, fell to her beloved criminal investigation post in a fighting posture.

Born in 1953, Gu Ying joined the team, worked as a soldier, worked as a worker, and then joined the public security work. He carefully studied criminal investigation techniques and improved his ability to solve cases. Under his leadership, Nantong has had a homicide case solving rate of more than 95% for 18 consecutive years, and for 6 years, it has achieved full destruction of homicides that year, becoming a banner of the national public security system.

In the "5.19" murder and cingenation case in Qidong in 2004, the criminal suspect burned the scene with gasoline after committing the crime, and the scene was trampled by the surrounding masses and firefighters, and the investigation of the case was extremely difficult. Gu Ying led the investigators to start from a pair of slippers left at the scene, extracted the biological test materials of the suspect's shedding dander, successfully made a mixed MAP of DNA of more than three people, and finally made the murderer confess through genetic identification. Constantly summarizing and innovating has enabled Gu Ying to always stand at the forefront of the development of criminal investigation reform. He led the exploration of old corpse bone DNA detection and identification and ABO genotyping technology, filling the gap in China.

With her outstanding work performance, Gu Ying has been commended by the Ministry of Public Security and Jiangsu Province more than 30 times, and has been awarded the titles of "National Excellent People's Police" and "Jiangsu Provincial Model Worker". In 2005, the criminal police detachment he led was awarded the honorary title of "Special Combat Criminal Police Team" by the State Council.

On the afternoon of August 26, 2010, Jiangsu Nantong was filled with thunder and lightning, and heavy rain was torrential. After Gu Ying held a case analysis meeting, she rushed to Rudong to direct the cracking of the case. At about 4 p.m., when the car reached the section of Shizong Town in Tongzhou District, Gu Ying was seriously injured in a car accident and was urgently sent to the hospital for treatment, but she never opened her eyes. This tough guy who spent his life fighting crime and solving murder cases eventually lay down on the land of Nantong where he lived with his life. On September 1, 2011, Gu Ying was posthumously awarded the title of "National Public Security System First-class Heroic Model".
