The excellent leader and outstanding organizer of the workers' movement , Lin Yunan

Located in Baiyang Mountain, Tuanfeng County, Huanggang City, Hubei Province, Linjia Dawan Village is surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery. The former residence of revolutionary martyr Lin Yunan is located here.

Xu Shaohua, secretary of the party branch of Linjia Dawan Village, introduced that as a key cultural relics protection unit in Hubei Province, nearly 100,000 people come to visit Lin Yunan's former residence every year. Linjia Dawan Village has also been rated as a famous tourist village in Hubei Province.

Lin Yunan's great-granddaughter Lin Min, who has been a docent at Lin Yunan's former residence for more than ten years, said that telling the deeds of her ancestors is the best memorial to them, and deeply remembering the revolutionary martyrs and carrying forward and inheriting the revolutionary spirit is the concrete action embodiment of the communists not forgetting their original true colors, and only in this way can the blood of the martyrs not flow in vain.

Lin Yunan, born in December 1898 in Huanggang, Hubei Province, studied at the Middle School of Wuchang Zhonghua University in his early years, and joined the mutual aid club organized by Yun Daiying in October 1917. In 1919, he participated in the May Fourth Movement and was elected as the head of the Wuhan Student Federation. In September 1920, he was admitted to the Beijing Medical College. He joined the Communist Party of China in early 1922.

From May 1922, Lin Yunan served as the director of the Wuhan Branch of the Secretariat of the Chinese Labor Union, a member of the Wuhan Executive Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the secretary of the Wuhan Federation of Trade Unions. He successively participated in leading and organizing the Guangdong-Hankou Railway Workers' Strike in September 1922, the February 27Th Great Strike of the Beijing-Hankou Railway in February 1923, the Shanghai Workers' Strike of the May 30th Movement in 1925, and the Hankou Workers' Repossession of the British Concession in 1927.

In June 1923, Lin Yunan went to Guangzhou to attend the Third National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and in August went to Nanjing to attend the Second National Congress of the Chinese Socialist Youth League, where he was elected as a member of the Central Committee of the League, the secretary of the Central Committee of the League, the director of the Organization Department, and the editor-in-chief of China Youth. In January 1925, he became a member of the Workers' Movement Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and went to Shanghai to engage in the leadership and organization of the workers' movement. In July 1925, he became the Secretary-General of the Shanghai Office of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions. In September 1926, he became the director of the Propaganda Department of the Hubei District Committee of the Communist Party of China. In January 1927, he participated in the presidency of the Hubei Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, served as the secretary general of the conference, and was elected as the propaganda director of the Hubei Provincial Federation of Trade Unions. From April to May 1927, he attended the Fifth National Congress of the Communist Party of China in Wuhan, was elected as an alternate member of the Central Committee, and in June 1927 he was appointed as a member of the Executive Committee of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, secretary general, and director of the Propaganda Department.

After the defeat of the Great Revolution in 1927, Lin Yunan turned to underground struggle in Hubei and successively served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Hubei Provincial Cpc Committee and director of the Propaganda Department, and the acting secretary of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. At the end of 1927, he went to Shanghai and served as the secretary of the Hudong District Committee of the Communist Party of China. In November 1929, he participated in the preparation of the Fifth National Labor Congress in Shanghai, and he continued to be elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, serving as the head of the editorial committee and secretary general, presiding over the daily work. From 1930 onwards, Lin Yunan was secretary-general of the Central Preparatory Committee of the All-China Regional Congress of Soviets.

On January 17, 1931, Lin Yunan, Together with He Mengxiong and Li Qiushi, was arrested by the Kuomintang reactionary authorities in Shanghai. In prison, Lin Yunan withstood the severe torture of the enemy, preferred to die unyieldingly, was loyal to the party, waged a resolute struggle against the enemy, and maintained the firm stand and lofty character of a communist party member. On February 7, 1931, Lin Yunan, He Mengxiong and 24 other Communist Party members and revolutionaries bravely rebelled in Shanghai Longhua at the age of 33.
