Graduate exams found cheating "eraser"

On the afternoon of December 26, 2020, the staff of a 2020 national master's degree examination center in Changqing District, Jinan, found that someone had illegally carried cheating equipment during the examination process, and seized 4 sets of radio receiving equipment disguised as erasers on the spot, and immediately reported the case to the public security organs. The Provincial Public Security Department immediately organized the Jinan Municipal Public Security Bureau's Network Police Detachment and the Changqing District Bureau to set up a special case team to carry out investigation and evidence collection overnight.

The police handling the case found Song Xiaojun (pseudonym), a candidate who cheated in the examination, and others to inquire and understand the origin of the case.

Song Xiaojun, a college graduate of the class of 2021, decided to take the master's degree exam before graduation in order to find a better job and strive for a higher academic education for himself.

However, due to the fact that Song Xiaojun's own professional foundation is not solid, and the examination and research time is approaching day by day, whether he can successfully let him play the drum in his heart, unwilling to pay more, he started the idea of taking shortcuts from the side door path.

Through an online search, Song Xiaojun found an advertisement for a crash course: Seven days of crash course, package you must pass, but refund. In the face of tens of thousands of training fees from the other side, Song Xiaojun gritted his teeth and paid a deposit to register.

In the so-called crash course, Song Xiaojun listened to several lessons and felt that there was nothing "outstanding" about the course content. Until the end of the training class, the teacher took out the "killer skill" that must be passed every time - the cheat.

Through the interrogation of Song Xiaojun and others, the people's police preliminarily identified a criminal gang with Li Mouxiao, Zhang Mou, and others as the main members to organize candidates to cheat on the examination. In order to prevent the further expansion of the harm of crime, the special case team carried out arrest work overnight on the basis of clues. At about 5:00 a.m. on December 27, the police arrested five suspects, including Li Mouxiao, Bi Moubo, Li Mouzhi, Ding Moudong, and Yin Moukun, at a hotel in Lixia District, Jinan City, and at about 17:00 on the same day, they arrested Zhang Mou, Gao Moujun, Suo Mouji and other three other suspects.

After interrogation, Li Mouxiao and others confessed to the criminal facts of organizing more than 70 candidates to participate in the postgraduate examination cheating at multiple examination centers in Changqing by using the method of transmitting and receiving answers through transmitters and receivers. Subsequently, the police of the special case team followed the vine to find the melon, and after a large number of investigations and evidence collection, on April 11, 2021, Yi Mouhai, who was suspected of introducing the purchase of cheating equipment and providing answers to the exam questions, was arrested.

The criminal suspect Li Mouxiao opened a donkey meat shop in Jinan, Shandong Province, and had previously done vocational training and met some acquaintances in the training circle. In July 2020, in order to seek private interests, Li Mouxiao colluded with Zhang Mou to organize candidates to cheat in the examination by using electronic cheating equipment, and quickly gathered Ding Moudong and other cadres. The internal division of labor within the criminal gang of Li Mouxiao and others is clear, some people are responsible for recruiting candidates online, some people are responsible for contacting and purchasing equipment for cheating, and some people are responsible for organizing relevant candidates to train and use cheaters in Li Mouxiao's donkey meat shop.

Cheating on exams pays the price, and confused students regret not being the first

Seeing that the day of the exam was approaching day by day, Song Xiaojun, who had already been on the "thief ship", began to contact the "cheats" of the cheating device with a hard scalp, carrying a worried and uneasy heart, hoping that he could pass the exam smoothly.

On December 25, 2020 (the day before the national master's degree examination), Ding Moudong and others in the criminal gang stepped on points and set up transceiver equipment near the four test centers in Jinan's Changqing District. On the 26th, the criminal gang transmitted wirelessly through the cheater and transmitted the answers to the test questions with the candidates who were taking the exam, achieving the purpose of cheating and being discovered by the staff of the examination room. After investigation by the public security organs, Li Mouxiao and others organized nearly 70 candidates from nineteen provinces and cities across the country to participate in the 2020 national master's degree examination to cheat, involving an amount of more than 200,000 yuan.

In May 2021, Li Mouxiao, Zhang Mou, and Yi Mouhai were arrested with the approval of the Jinan Changqing District People's Procuratorate, and Ding Moudong, Yin Moukun, Gao Moujun, Li Mouzhi, and others were released on guarantee pending trial in accordance with the law, and the relevant cases have entered the prosecution and trial stage. College student Song Xiaojun and others were counted in the candidates' integrity file due to cheating on the examination, resulting in zero test subject scores, reported to the Ministry of Education for the record, and notified to their schools, suspending participation in various national education examinations.
