Lin Xiantang, 1881--1956, sent as Da Chun, formerly known as Chao Chen, Zi Xian Tang, the number of irrigation garden. He was a pioneer of Taiwan's famous anti-Japanese and national movements, and was known as the "father of Taiwan's parliament". He was born in the Wufeng Lin family, a well-known family in Taichung City, Taiwan Province.

Lin Xiantang's boyhood coincided with the period when the Qing Dynasty government ceded Taiwan to Japan after the defeat of the Sino-Japanese War. The people of Taiwan have set off a surging movement of resistance. As an adult, he led the people of Taiwan in a non-violent national resistance movement for national rights.

He advocated that the people of Taiwan do not speak Japanese, do not wear clogs, and adhere to the traditional way of life of the Chinese nation. After the continuous resistance movement he led, the Taiwan Local Autonomy Alliance was finally formed, and parliaments at all levels were set up in various places, thus winning the right to national autonomy for the people of Taiwan. It was not until after the victory of the War of Resistance that Ke died in Japan.

Lin Xiantang

The Wufeng Lin family, along with the Keelung Yan family, the Banqiao Lin family, the Lukang Gu family, and the Kaohsiung Chen family, are listed as the five major families in Taiwan.

Lin shi (林氏), surname of Benzi, after the uncle of king Shang. When Bi gan was killed by king Huan because of his loyalty, his wife was three months pregnant, and in order to avoid trouble, she fled to a place called Changlin in Makino, where she lived, and gave birth to her son Zijian a few months later. Later, Zijian was subordinate to King Wu of Zhou and was enfeoffed at Boling (also known as Xihe, present-day Anping County, Hebei), and because he was born in Changlin, King Wu of Zhou gave him the surname of Lin, so he was called Lin Jian. Zunbi Gan is the ancestor of the Lin clan.

During the Yongjia Rebellion of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (311-316 AD), Lin Jian's 63rd descendant Lin Ying (originally a native of Pizhou, Jiangsu) moved south with his army and lived in Jiangxi. Lin Ying's son Lin Lu , who served as a taishou in Fuzhou , Fujian Province , moved to Fuzhou at an old age and resigned as the ancestor of the Lin clan in Fujian.

Lin Lu's 21st grandson, Lin Zimu, in the early years of the Yuan Dynasty, in order to avoid military disasters, moved to The Village of Poping, Wangzhai Xupu in Pinghe County, Fujian Province.

In the seventh year of The Yongzheng Dynasty of the Qing Dynasty, in 1729, Lin Zimu's 14th generation Sun Linshi was born. But by the time he was 14, both parents had died, leaving his elderly grandmother and two younger brothers to raise. Forced to do so, in 1746, at the age of 18, he went to Taiwan to develop in an attempt to support his family. In this way, he found a place in Taichung, Taiwan, called Yì Zhuang in Taichung, Taiwan. Near his home, he reclaimed dozens of acres of wasteland, worked hard, and gradually became rich. Later, he married his wife Chen and had six sons, thus becoming the ancestor of the Lin clan in Taiwan.

Lin Shi's eldest son, named Lin Xun, was a Hongmei, 1762--1784, who was also the high ancestor of Lin Xiantang. Lin Xun married his wife Huang and had two sons: Lin Qiongyao and Lin Jiayin.

Great-grandfather Lin Jiayin (林甲寅), courtesy name Rugui, was a chinese poet from 1782 to 1838. He worked diligently to cultivate the fertile land left by his ancestors and also did business. As a result, the Wufeng Lin family developed. He married his wife Dong and had 3 sons: Lin Dingbang, Lin Dianguo, and Lin Zhenxiang.

Grandfather Lin Dianguo, mingtianhe, zi jingshan, 1814--1871. He continued to run the family's fields and business, and also donated a court official. He married two wives: Lai and Luo, and gave birth to three sons: Lin Wenfeng, Lin Wendian, and Lin Wenqin.

Father Lin Wenqin, name Wan'an, Zi Yunqing, No. Youshan, 1854--1899. He loves to read and has won the opportunity to lift people. He was charitable and charitable, and in 1889 he donated 10,000 taels of gold to the imperial court for disaster relief, and also donated funds to the local nursery many times (in that era, many families were reluctant to raise their daughters and often abandoned them on the side of the road, and the government established a nursery in desperation to raise discarded baby girls). He also contributed a lot to the construction of bridges and roads in his hometown.

Lin Xiantang's mother, Xu Shi, is upright and kind, and is also a person who is kind and charitable. The husband and wife had two sons: Lin Xiantang and Lin Kaitang.

Lin Xiantang's wife is named Yang Shuixin and has three sons: Lin Panlong, Lin Youlong, and Lin Yunlong. Now his descendants are mostly engaged in business in Taiwan and around the world, and their family is still very well-off.
