On the 12th, cultural and natural heritage day, in the Guo Shoujing Memorial Hall, the audience experienced the charm of Beijing's canal heritage by participating in a fun interactive experience.
In the exhibition hall, a simulated Grand Canal water flow into the Sand Table of Yuan Dadu, attracting many parents and children to stop, with the explanation of the documentary in front of them, a section of the river on the Sand Table is lit by blue lights, visually showing the process of the beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal running through the whole line. "Mom, you see, the rivers on the map have turned blue!" It was as if the water was really flowing in. "In front of the sand table, the second-grade girl Dian Dian pulled her mother and said excitedly." The water of the Grand Canal is introduced from here, all the way to the pond, which is our home. Mother Ms. Guan pointed to the position on the sand table and patiently explained to her daughter, "The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is one of the important world cultural heritages of our country and a heritage at the doorstep of our home."
After seeing the exhibition and coming to the courtyard, the photos show the beautiful scenery of the important bridges, locks and rivers of the Grand Canal in Beijing, and the question marks are placed under each picture, and the audience is invited to correspond one by one with cards with place names written on them. The staff suggested that some of the content could be found in the map of the Grand Canal that I had just looked at. "I know these few! Shichahai, Yuhe Ancient Road, Wanning Bridge..." Dian Dian and his mother completed the task together.
"The experience is very good, it is like following 'Guo Shoujing' for a walk." During the Cultural and Natural Heritage Day, not only the Guo Shoujing Memorial Hall, but also a number of museums in Beijing launched a series of activities and exhibitions to let more people feel the "living" culture. On the 12th, the Zhoukoudian National Archaeological Site Park was opened for free, and during the "Heritage Day", the immersive experience display of the three-dimensional digital protection results of the Zhoukoudian site was launched, leading the audience through 500,000 years, touching history, and talking about ancient times. Beijing Liaojin Chengyuan Museum launched a retrospective exhibition of excavations at the Shuiguan Ruins in Jinzhongdu online, the Confucius Temple and the Guozijian Museum told the "Sacrifice of Kong Music and Dance" through online programs, and the Beijing Art Museum launched "intangible cultural heritage" experience activities such as letterpress hand-printing, tie-dyeing, screen printing, etc., to bring a cultural feast to the audience.
