Li Yingchun, an outstanding party worker: Serve old party members with heart and affection

Li Yingchun, 70, has been working for 15 years as retired general secretary of the party branch of Shenzhen People's Hospital. Over the years, she has worked hard, innovated and forged ahead, and tightly gathered more than 300 "silver-haired pioneers" who retired from the hospital, winning the deep recognition of old party members. She has successively won the titles of the first batch of silver-haired pioneers issued by the Organization Department of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee, the advanced individual of retired cadres in Guangdong Province, and the outstanding party affairs workers in Shenzhen in 2021.

In 2006, at the age of 55, Li Yingchun officially retired from the position of director of the party office of Shenzhen People's Hospital. Before retiring, the party secretary of the hospital talked to her: "You are still young, can you do some service work for the retired cadres of our hospital after retirement?" "I have a lot of energy, I can do something when I can, and as long as the organization needs it, we will do it here!" In the face of the trust of the organization, the capable and cheerful Li Yingchun did not hesitate to embark on a new position as the general secretary of the retired party branch of the hospital.

She is the "leading goose" of the cohesion of the party organization. "Diligent in thinking, proficient in planning, good at learning, dare to innovate" is Li Yingchun's work philosophy. Under her initiative, the retired party general branch has formed a series of normalized work systems, such as: carrying out the selection of outstanding party members of the general party branch once a year; informing the retention and use of party fees once a year; and carrying out a party branch target management competition once a year, etc., and gradually becoming a party organization with strong executive power and cohesion.

She is a "caring person" praised by old party members. Over the years, she has insisted on organizing retired party members to go to the red education base every year to carry out education on ideals and beliefs; insisted on achieving the "three must visits" (that is, the difficult retired party members must visit, retired party members must visit when they are sick and hospitalized, and their families have funerals), and insisted on holding the "50 years and 80 years old" activity every year (that is, holding a celebration for old party members who have joined the party for more than 50 years, and holding a collective birthday celebration for retired party members over the age of 80), so that old comrades can feel the warmth of the organization It is necessary to persist in publishing a study and exchange periodical and a documentary exhibition of pictures of activities every year to display the style of old comrades; and insist on organizing a prize knowledge quiz activity once a year to keep the thinking of old party members always new. At the same time, make full use of new media, build a WeChat platform for retired party branches, and carry out activities such as micro-party classes, micro-education, micro-exchanges, and micro-briefings from time to time.

She is the "attendant" of the old expert's contribution of residual heat. In order to let retired party members give full play to their residual heat, at the end of 2016, Li Yingchun led the establishment of a medical and health care class teaching and research group, jointly opened a medical and health care class with the Mayor's Youth and Aging University, and also organized old party members and experts to go to Shanwei City and other places to carry out large-scale health poverty alleviation free clinic activities.

Under the organization of Li Yingchun, the activities of the retired party branch of the Municipal People's Hospital have become more and more prosperous, and here the old comrades have found a "second home", and more and more people actively participate in the organizational activities, and some even come in wheelchairs with illness.
