In 2018, Dr. Simon Yang, President of Aptiv Asia Pacific, received the Magnolia Memorial Award from the Shanghai Municipal Government. Dr. Xiaoming Yang came to Shanghai in 2003 and began to prepare for the Asia Pacific operation center of Aptiv(then called Delphi) connector systems business. At that time, it coincided with the upgrading of China's automobile industry structure, and the market was rapidly booming, which brought development opportunities to auto parts companies. Shanghai is a city with very prosperous and open economic exchanges, it is "open, innovative and inclusive". It is also based on this excellent business environment that Aptiv has set up the Group's Asia Pacific headquarters and the global headquarters of the Wiring Harness Division, two global R&D centers and several manufacturing bases in Shanghai.
