At 14:00 on February 13, 2021, "screen tough guy" and "hot-blooded youth" Yang Zaibao died of illness in Beijing at the age of 85.
Yang Zaibao, born on June 25, 1935 in Suzhou, Anhui Province, graduated from the Acting Department of Shanghai Theater Academy. In the 1960s, he played the company commander of the People's Liberation Army who turned into a peasant in the main theme movie "Red Sun", and annihilated Zhang Lingfu's entire 74th Division. Later, he starred in the socialist collectivization and industrialization of "The Young Generation". After the outbreak of the Cultural Revolution, Yang Zaibao was convicted of his words and imprisoned for 4 years, 3 months and 14 days for "active counter-revolution".
After the reform and opening up, Yang Zaibao made a comeback, acting in "The River Gushing", "From Slave to General", "Blood, Always Hot", "Wilderness", "Acting Mayor"... He won the Best Actor Award at the 4th Golden Rooster Awards, the Best Actor Award at the 7th Hundred Flowers Awards, the Best Actor Award at the 9th Hundred Flowers Awards, and the 32nd Golden Rooster Awards of Chinese Film "Lifetime Achievement Film Artist of China Federation of Literature and Literature".
Yang Zaibao had two daughters and a son, and the original match Xia Qiying died of uremia. His wife, Chen Liming, is 22 years younger than Yang Zaibao and has a daughter, Yang Xiaohui, who inherits her acting career.
Yang Zaibao is a blood-soaked on-screen tough guy, who is still intoxicated with reform and opening up after retirement, loves social activities, and laughs at himself that "if you die for the people, you will also be a ghost." In his later years, he always wanted to play a veteran military commander whom he admired and who was the same age as him, and asked me to bring a message to the military seat who was not good at walking. Yang Zaibao supported his family with a limited pension and opened a studio in Xizhimen, Beijing, to subsidize his family with calligraphy.
