Yang Zaibao, born on June 25, 1935 in Suzhou City, Anhui Province, is a film performance artist of the Shanghai Film Actors Troupe, graduated from the Acting Department of the Shanghai Theater Academy, and has starred in "Red Sun", "The River Gushing", "From Slave to General", "Blood, Always Hot", "Acting Mayor", "Wilderness", etc., and has won the Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Awards for many times. On November 23, 2019, Yang Zaibao won the honor of "Lifetime Achievement Film Artist of China Federation of Literature and Literature" at the 32nd Golden Rooster Awards of Chinese Film.
Yang Zaibao is tall and burly, and is well known to the public for his "screen tough guy" image. The first screen image he created was played by Company Commander Shi Donggen in the 1960 film "Red Sun", who vividly portrayed the image of this peasant-born commander with his passionate and energetic acting skills.

On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Shanghai Film Actors Troupe in 2018, Yang Zaibao wrote the four words of "Integrating the World" for the troupe.
Yang Zaibao was also an excellent calligrapher. In 2018, on the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Shanghai Film Actors Troupe, he wrote "Melting the World" for the troupe. In the 2020 Chongyang Festival, the Shangying Actors Troupe held an annual Chongyang Respect for the Elderly Activity, in order to thank Zhou Jie of the Tsinghua Alumni Association for supporting the development of the troupe for many years, Yang Zaibao specially wrote a Meilan Bamboo Chrysanthemum banner, which was presented to Zhou Jie by Tong Ruixin, the head of the Shangying Actors Troupe.
On the evening of December 1, 2020, the Shanghai Theater Academy held a celebration meeting for its 75th anniversary.
