In my impression, the breeding of yellow edges is generally divided into five environments: soil culture, water breeding, naked breeding, free range breeding, and climbing box feeding.
Next, I will do a good and bad analysis of the above five environments, hoping to help you choose the breeding method that suits you.
1. Soil culture:

The breeding method that is closest to the yellow edge habit, most players in the circle will choose this method to raise the yellow edge closed shell turtle. Since the yellow margin has the habit of drilling soil, soil culture can make them adapt to the environment faster and reduce the probability of stress. Drilling soil is also more convenient for the development of yellow margin seedlings, and it is easy to promote the growth of high backs and violent lines. Aesthetically, the soil environment has more beautification space, planting the favorite green plants, and arranging a viewing area is also one of the reasons why many players choose the soil environment. However, Xiao Storm believes that the biggest advantage of soil breeding is that it is convenient for the yellow-edged turtle to adjust the role of its own heat according to its own needs. After all, turtles and tortoises can't speak, and only they know the cold and warm. If the temperature drops at night, they will burrow into the soil to keep warm, and in the morning, when the temperature rises, they will drill out and move. Such a natural routine does not easily cause turtles to get sick. Therefore, soil cultivation is indeed the first choice of many people who are related to it.
However, there are advantages and disadvantages to everything, and there are also disadvantages to soil cultivation:
For example, the cleaning of the environment is more troublesome, because the substrates chosen by the players of soil culture are generally: coconut soil, humus soil, laterite, loess, sediment, etc., and bacteria and insects will inevitably breed after wet. On hot days, if the environment is not large, 1-2 months will be turned over, which is indeed more tossing.
2. Water conservation
There is a saying in the circle: water to raise yellow edges is generally a big god, why say so, because few people will take the pure water environment to raise yellow edge turtles. However, some people have really raised it like this, and there is still a look like it. Because the yellow margin larvae like water, as long as the water level is shallow, it can indeed be raised like a water turtle, it is convenient to change the water, and there is basically no odor. Although the yellow rim is a half-water turtle, as age, the activity habits of the yellow rim develop towards the land. Therefore, long-term aquatic culture does not conform to the growth habit of the yellow-edged turtle. In addition, aquatic conservation is subject to the infestation of daily diseases of water turtles, such as water mold disease and fungal infections. As for whether it will affect the appearance, this cannot be judged, and it is still to be examined by the great god.
3. Naked (dry)
Lazy people's way of breeding, a tidying box, a water basin, walk up! Don't really laugh, there are really not a few players in the circle who are raised so much, and I also have two sub-adults who are raised in this way. Convenient, simple, come and go, who raised it this way, or raised it this way in the past, hit it on the public screen. Since it is a lazy person's cultivation method, the advantage must be that it is lazy, changing soil, joking, changing water, it does not exist! Take it out directly, rinse the tap water, throw it in, and all right! It's that simple!
There is no ornamental value, and it is very testing the psychological state of the turtle. Wandering around in this environment is like a cell, can turtles and tortoises be comfortable? Active state of the pressurized adult can use this breeding method, because naked breeding has no medium for the yellow edge to mediate body temperature, once the temperature difference is generated, it is a test of physique, seedlings are not recommended to raise so, remember!
IV. Free range
The preferred way of rural environment, as long as there is a large space, imitation of the wild breeding environment. If you want water and water, if you want land, the superiority of the landlord class is unstoppable! Turtles and tortoises can start a happy life leisurely and self-reliantly. A prerequisite for breeding farmers. You have a dog at home, and I have a turtle at home!

5. Climbing box rearing
The friends who raise tortoises prefer Dafa, as long as there is a pet climbing box, control the temperature difference, and everything is in control. The advantages of climbing the box are mainly reflected in the temperature control, the small seedlings winter is a big problem, many players will choose to put the seedlings in the climbing pet box for winter, the city players choose more.
Warm feeding will grow greenhouse turtles, the long-term growth of turtles and tortoises is not good, all say that the soil raises a high back, here it is necessary for players to consider themselves, many players will make up the substrate of soil culture in the feeding box, made into a constant temperature soil environment, but the feeding cost is a bit high, the grasp of temperature control should be accurate, in addition, due to no ventilation, the box is easy to breed bacteria and insects, and the update environment is more troublesome.
