Recently, when the staff of the Management and Conservation Bureau of Nuozhadu Provincial Nature Reserve in Yunnan Province sorted out the infrared cameras placed in the wild, they found that the infrared cameras captured the indian bison cubs of indian bison, a national first-class protected animal, which was the first time that the reserve had photographed the cubs of this rare species.
Domestically, Indian bison are only distributed in southern and southwestern Yunnan, while the Pu'er region showed that there were only 27 left in the region in 2018 statistics. It is mainly distributed in India, Myanmar and Southeast Asian countries.

The Indian bison is currently the largest known wild cattle in the world, note that it is wild, and it cannot include those poor guys who have been specially bred by humans.
The body length is about 250 to 360 cm, usually up to 220 cm when standing. Males usually weigh close to 1500 kg, the range of 1000-1500 is considered normal, while smaller and lighter females can also reach 700 to 1000 kg. The muscles of this body feel that ordinary people will directly "drive the crane to the west" when they are topped.
Their foreheads have a high, raised frontal bone between the horns and a raised ridge on their back. A pair of large flappy ears is a bit playful, but in the wild, hearing is an important sense. With a long whip-like tail, which averages 70-100 cm long, the male develops a pronounced "hair loss pattern" on the back as he ages. As adults, they are very dark in color, ranging from dark brown to black, and darken with age. Their heads are gray from the eyes to their necks, sometimes brighter, while their mouths and noses are pale in color. Feet from below the knee are also white, so they are also figuratively called white-limbed bison.
Indian bison, like the antelope I talked about earlier, are a wandering race like gypsies, moving all their lives and having no place to live. The population is headed by an older female cow who leads the group to move in search of food. The males, on the other hand, live alone and wait until the breeding season is up to return to the population to mate, after which they leave again. Male calves in the population are also driven away as adults and forced to become independent.
The Indian bison was the first endangered species to be cloned. As early as 2001, it was tried to clone, but unfortunately the cloned calf died of dysentery within 2 days, and has not tried again since.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="15" > "tiger killer"? </h1>
Since they are the heaviest and most powerful of all bison, they hold a special place as top cattle, with their only natural predator being the Bengal tiger.
But this frightening large, top predator doesn't really like to provoke Indian bison. In fact, there are more reported cases of Bengal tigers being killed by Indian bison than Indian bison hunted. But this is actually a less accurate statement.
Theoretically, male Indian bison are muscular and powerful enough to produce enough power to kill predators, humans, and other animals that unfortunately provoke them. But in fact, 40% of the food source of Bengal tigers is Indian bison, and tigers are occasionally killed by bison. But that's a small probability event, so when a tiger is killed by a bison, it actually becomes news as well. In turn, there are not so many. This leads to the feeling that the Indian bison is superior.
Bengal tigers basically hunt adult male Indian bison that live alone, and they are reluctant to provoke female-led bison herds.
Each bison herd has 30-50 members. In cattle herds, cubs are usually tightly protected, as large adult females form a head and horn-facing circle to protect the cubs from possible tiger attacks. When the short-sighted tigers come to hunt, they form a human phalanx similar to the ancient war, and march steadily towards the unfortunate tiger in a neat and uniform manner.
In this case, the Bengal tiger is beaten to the stomach if it is not careful, which is why the Bengal tiger only provokes adult bulls. So the title of "tiger killer" is also right and wrong.

Despite their seeming strength, their ethnic groups are particularly vulnerable at the moment.
They are classified as vulnerable by the IUCN, a Tier 1 protected animal in China and a critically endangered species, and if more is not done to prevent their populations from dwindling, they will soon face extinction.
Because bison roam all their lives, the best way to protect them is to ensure forest area and reduce the construction of interforested roads.
