Preparations for Soccer Boy began in 2017, filming began in Yuzhong in April 2019, and after post-production, it will be released nationwide on April 9, 2021. At the premiere ceremony, the reporter interviewed the relevant creators of the film, and when talking about the film, the chief producer, director and chief planner Wang Xiaoping, the producer Wu Qinyan, the supervising producer Zhang Chuqiao, the actor representatives Xiao Libin, Wang Zhuocuo and the principal of Lianchuan Primary School in the film prototype Ma Anwu all said that this is a film that can move everyone.

Wang Xiaoping:

It was exciting to stand with the kids. She first learned of this story from Zhang Chuqiao, who made a documentary when she was a reporter on CCTV and had a great response. When they came to me to make this film, I felt very difficult, the story was very touching, but I didn't know where to start. After getting the book in 2017, everyone was thinking, whether to shoot based on Principal Ma, or based on the children, or the football worker who sacrificed, it was very difficult to decide, and then we decided to shoot three lines in parallel, that is, to shoot these stories well, if not filmed well, it is a kind of "crime" and "blasphemy". I believe that it is precisely with the deeds of these children that we can move people, and I think this is the embodiment of the spirit of Gansu.

Wu Qinyan:

Our film was released nationwide on April 9. As a mother, I cry every time I watch it, I think this film is doing a good job, but the film is an "imperfect" art, always after shooting will feel that there is something bad, we also keep summarizing. Zhang Chuqiao:

I'm very excited to stand here today, and I have a deep relationship with this film. In 2015, after we finished making the documentary about Lian Chuan in the prototype of the movie, the scene of the children playing football on the dirt playground has always been in my mind, pushing me to make this film well. As the supervising producer of the film, I would like to say that this is actually a film for primary and secondary school students across the country, a film that pays tribute to the gardeners on the education front, and a film for every parent. I hope that more people will pay attention to remote mountainous areas and pay attention to campus sports.

Xiao Libin:

This film is finally going to meet with everyone, from the moment I began to enter the crew to play Principal Ma, it was a kind of "torture" for me, every day with the children, from knowing each other, to finally the children really treated me as a "principal", I was really touched by the children, when we were separated, we were reluctant to do so, we were connected with the hearts and minds of the children. When I watched this film, my tears kept flowing, and it was the spirit of the children that touched me.

Ma Anwu:
