On October 15, the 2024 Hongqiao International Coffee Culture Festival "Love Life, Love Coffee" Photography Art Exhibition opened at Changshuo Art Center, Xinhong Street, Minhang District. This exhibition integrates photography art and coffee culture, with a total of 56 works on display, aiming to tell the story of the Hongqiao International Coffee Culture Festival through the most disseminated video art. Zhu Xuejun, chairman of the CPPCC of Minhang District, attended the event.
On the same day, 51 photographic works and 5 video photographic works were selected from 578 out of 1,681 auditions and were exhibited. According to the theme, there are five sections: Gold, Silver and Bronze Award Section, International Coffee Culture Section, Love Coffee Zone, Coffee Craft and Yunnan Coffee Section, Coffee Art and Specialty Café.
"My husband and I both love photography, and it is an innovation to combine coffee culture with the art of photography, and it is an innovation to hold a coffee photography art exhibition. Over the past two years, we've created a lot of work around the theme of coffee. In order to achieve the desired effect, we have visited Hongqiao Pinhui nearly ten times for photography creation, which has become our photography base. Wang Yan, a member of the Minhang District Video Artists Association, won the first prize for her work "Coffee Companionship and Artistic Life", and she shared her experience of participating in the photography exhibition.

At the exhibition site, a work of photographing a blind barista attracted the attention of many citizens. "The combination of coffee culture and coffee art has become an emotional bond. I was very fortunate to have taken a pair of blind brothers with me to photograph them, and I have received their works for this exhibition. Tao Zhijun, the curator and director of the Professional Committee of the Shanghai Minhang District Video Artists Association, has planned two photography art exhibitions at the Hongqiao Coffee Culture Festival, and he believes that the combination of coffee culture and coffee art has now become an emotional bond, which can not only capture and record a beautiful life, but also convey and carry forward love.

It is understood that this photography art exhibition is the last of the series of activities of the 2024 Hongqiao International Coffee Culture Festival, from the planning, holding of the photography contest, the selection of exhibited works to today's successful opening, the time span is nearly 7 months.
With its unique perspective, the exhibition vividly captures the color, texture, bubbles and even the atmosphere of the surrounding environment. Ms. Wang, a coffee lover, is very pleased that a coffee stall has been set up at the entrance of this exhibition: "Many coffee photography works are not only records, but also artistic creations, through the photographer's lens, I have seen the origin of coffee beans, the roasting process, and also learned composition, the use of light and shadow and color matching, and I can also create when drinking coffee in the future." ”
Since 2023, Xinhong Street has firmly seized the opportunity of the "Coffee Culture Festival", which has the characteristics of "Shanghai-style charm and international cultural metropolis", to hold the Hongqiao International Coffee Culture Festival, and is committed to building it into a platform for global coffee culture, industrial innovation and artistic creation.
In May this year, the 2nd Hongqiao International Coffee Culture Festival opened in Xinhong Street, from the high-standard Hongqiao Forum on the development of the global coffee industry, the Shanghai-Yunnan Cooperation Special Promotion Conference, to the distinctive Minhang beautiful "coffee" market, "the first cup of coffee arriving in Shanghai" activities, and then to the attractive "Love in Hongqiao" Shanghai Youth Love Festival, coffee skills competition, etc., more than 10 series of activities attracted more than 500 enterprises to participate, 80,000 people participated. It is welcomed by a large number of coffee industry elites and residents who love coffee culture.
Subsequently, the exhibition will also be toured in the exhibition hall of the Hongqiao hub area, so that more citizens can appreciate the style of the coffee culture festival. "This photography art exhibition combines light and shadow with the aroma of coffee, and records and presents countless vivid coffee moments and the moving stories behind them in the language of the lens.
