"Old Thousand 3: One-Eyed Jack" is the third film in the Tazza series, the others are < Tazza: The > of the Hawker Race, starring Cho Seung-woo, Kim Hye-, Baek Yoon-sik and Yoo Hae-jin, and "Tazza: The Hidden Card" starring Big Bang, New WorldView, Guo Daoyuan and Lee Hanee. The third of the three films, Tazza: Jack in One Eye, is made up of the cast of Park Jeong-min, Yoo Seung-bum, Choi You-hwa, H.H., Yoon Ji-moon, Lee Kwang-so, and Lim Ji-hyun – yeon and Kwon Hae-hyun, directed by Kwon Dae-kwang, who also directed this bizarre and bizarre film with Lee Kwang-so as a mermaid called Collective Invention.

The first and second stanzas of the series end with the Korean card gambling game hwatu. FYI, the very skilled gamblers in this game are called "Tazzas", hence the name. This time, Tazza's third film was made based on poker.

The content is as follows:

The son of the legendary Tazza "Sparrow", Il-Chul (Park Jung-Min), was a student with no interest in learning, but followed his father because he was a very talented poker player. Il-Chul meets "Choi Yoo-Hwa" at the poker table and is fascinated by her. However, he learns how painful poker is, as his attraction to Madonna traps him in a trap made up of Madonna's acquaintances. After losing all his money and pride, Il-Chul was in trouble. That is, until the unidentified Tazza, Ae-Goo (Ryu Seung-Bum), enters to rescue him. Ae-Goo collected a variety of Tazzas from all over the country and developed a plan to collect a lot of money through poker. The One-Eyed Jack team embarked on a project that would change their lives forever.

"Old Thousand 3: One-Eyed Jack" has received a lot of negative criticism, and some even claim that it destroyed the franchise of "Tazza". I admit that Tazza's first film, Tazza: High Roller, was an amazing movie. A film that will go down in the history of Korean cinema. However, the third part of the series is not as bad as some people think. In fact, the second installment of the Tazza: Hidden Cards series received a similar reaction when it was first released, but I also enjoyed that movie.

No matter how they make the film, I think negative criticism is inevitable. Even if they decide to portray a theme similar to the first film, it will still face criticism. That's because < Tazza: The High Rollers> is considered by many to be one of the best Korean films of all time. Should not be included in the series of series. There is some truth to this statement, but, leaving this question aside, watching the movie itself is a movie, and "Old Thousand 3: One-Eyed Jack" is an interesting movie.

Tazza's first film was released in 2006 and the second in 2014. This means that there is a 13-year gap between the first and third parts, and a 6-year gap between the second and third parts. From 2006 to 2019 and from 2014 to 2019, the culture of filmmaking has undergone many changes. The style of the film has changed dramatically since then, and I'm glad they didn't try to keep the same characteristics of the original Tazza films. If so, it will feel outdated.

Also, I'm glad they decided to keep in the tradition of rating Tazza films as R rated. From watching the trailer, I was worried that the movie would be PG-13. However, the film was rated R for gore, sex scenes, drinking/drug use, gore, and obvious gambling. If the film were PG-13, it would come under too much censorship and lose all the elements of making a Tazza movie, a Tazza movie.

In addition, Yoo Seung-bum and Park Chung-min are both outstanding actors. Liu Chengfan has a unique atmosphere and style, and his presence alone has had an incredibly strong impact on the film. His ribs Park Jeong-min are as good as ever. I feel like you can put him in any role in any movie and he'll find a way to kill it.

While some actors perform well, on the other hand, some actors are hard to watch. I mentioned yoo Seung-bum and Park Chung-min doing well, but as far as others are concerned, it's not their best performance. First of all, I found That Yin Zhiwen's acting skills are very timid. In fact, the film in general has a lot of creepy elements, yes, but Yoon's performance takes it to a new level. I felt like he was going too far, it felt like he was trying to be too hard.

Also, Lee Kwang-kwong-'s performance isn't necessarily bad, but I can't say it's great. In my other reviews and 2019 EonTalk Film Awards video, I mentioned that Li GuangS did a great job in Inseparable Brothers. However, despite his interesting performance in this, I cannot say that he published a very good role. Most likely because his role/character in the Korean variety show Running Man is so powerful, but it also extends to and influences his film roles, at least in "Old Thousand 3: One-Eyed Jack" as well. He tried to get serious, but eventually became funny, almost making himself feel as if he were mismatched in casting. And that's probably why the actors in his "Running Man" made fun of him so much on the show.

Finally, since the movie is based on poker games, it can be difficult to understand if you don't understand the rules of poker. That doesn't mean you won't understand the movie or have a great time, but you may experience some confusion/not knowing everything.

Despite a lot of talk, One-Eyed Jack is actually a lot of fun. Due to the name value of "Tazza" and the key accolades of the first film, it was set to a higher standard. Of course, the story is not as comprehensive and intense, and its performance or progress is not as good as the first, but after removing it from the original Tazza, it is a very pleasant film. It's like a mixture of the Hollywood movies "21" and "You See Me Now."
