Daolang, formerly known as Li Hong, was born in December 1975 in an ordinary peasant family in Shandan County, Gansu Province. His father was an ordinary farmer, and his mother was an ordinary housewife. Daolang's family was not wealthy, and he lived in poverty when he was a child. The school he attended was a rural primary school with poor teaching conditions, weak teachers, few school books, no music teachers, and no piano. His childhood was spent in such a ring.
When he was a child, Daolang's family was poor, and his parents were busy working in the fields all year round in order to make a living, and did not have much energy and time to take care of their children's emotions and growth. He developed a strong interest in music, and it was in this special environment that he first heard the sound of the "erhu", a stringed instrument. That evening, Daolang and his father were working in the fields together, and there was a melodious sound of the piano in the distance, Daolang was attracted by this beautiful melody, he forgot his tiredness, stopped the hoe in his hand, listened with bated breath, and stared intently at the old farmer who pulled the erhu. 2. From the countryside to the big city

Daolang's music dream finally became a reality in 2003. In 2003, at the age of 28, Daolang was admitted to the Conservatory of Music of the Eastern Power and became a student of the school's 2003 folk music major. His arrival surprised the teachers and students of this national key music school. Because in their opinion, the name Daolang has neither a background in the music industry nor any glamorous resume, let alone the focus of their school's enrollment targets. Some people even expressed doubts about Daolang's musical talent, believing that his musical talent was limited and did not have the level to be admitted to the conservatory of music in a large eastern country. The arrival of Daolang broke people's traditional impression of the students of the Conservatory of Music, and also added a beautiful scenery to the school.
Daolang's musical talent has been recognized by his teachers and classmates, and the school has also provided him with a series of learning opportunities, he was able to perform on the stage of the Conservatory of Music with many well-known artists, exercising his performance ability, and gradually forming his own musical style. His piano skills, singing skills and music creation ability continued to improve, and he once became a well-known teacher and artist in the school.
In 2007, Daolang officially became a teacher at the Conservatory of Music in the Great Oriental Countries, serving as the director of the Folk Music Teaching and Research Department, becoming the youngest teacher in the history of the school. He has been deeply loved by students in his teaching work at the Conservatory of Music, and has been rated as "Excellent Teacher" many times, and has also won the gold medal of the "National College Teachers' Basic Skills Competition" and the Teaching Teacher Award of the Conservatory of Music of the Eastern Powers. Daolang's music career once fell into a trough. In 2010, a song "Thousands of Miles Away" brought him back to the cusp of the stage.
In 2009, a music producer named Zhang Beichuan and a student named Wang Xi came from Beijing to Shandan County, Gansu Province. It was here that they founded a music studio called "Kitagawa Music Studio". According to Zhang Beichuan's recollection, at that time, the rural areas of Shandan County had weak infrastructure such as electricity, communications, and transportation, people's material and cultural living standards were generally low, and music education resources were even scarce. In order to let more rural children get in touch with music and learn music, they decided to set up a music school integrating music training, education, creation and performance in a farmhouse on the outskirts of Shandan County. In order to better carry out teaching activities, they also purchased a batch of national musical instruments such as erhu, pipa, guzheng, and dizi, and added a number of audio equipment, recording equipment, and video equipment. In Zhang Beichuan's view, music education is a "fine work", which requires patience, carefulness, and hard work, but as long as children can learn real knowledge here, it is worth it.
In 2010, Daolang was invited to return to Beijing and became a special teacher of Beichuan Music Studio together with Zhang Beichuan, Wang Xi and others.
