On September 25, the 37th Tokyo International Film Festival announced the shortlisted films, and among the main competition units that have attracted much attention, there are as many as 5 Chinese films among the 15 shortlisted films: "Little Me", "Qiao Yan's Heart", "Daughter's Daughter", "My Friend Andre", "Dad", two more than last year.

Looking back at the achievements of last year's Tokyo Film Festival, three Chinese films, "Snow Leopard", "Old Gun" and "Grass and Trees", were shortlisted for the main competition, and in the end, the late director Wanma Tsedan's posthumous work "Snow Leopard" won the best film, Gao Peng's "Old Gun" won the Best Artistic Contribution Award, and Gu Xiaogang won the Kurosawa Akira Award. "Little Me"

"Qiao Yan's Heart"
The film is directed by Zhao Deyin, starring Zhao Liying, Xin Zhilei, Huang Jue, and Dong Baobao, adapted from Zhang Yueran's novel "Da Qiao Xiao Qiao", which tells the story of two biological sisters who strive to break the situation and pursue freedom under the torrent of fate, which has been scheduled to be released in China on October 26.
