Live Bar August 20 News Former Japan international Takuto Uchida announced his retirement, and the August 23 match between Kashima Antlers vs Gamba Osaka was his farewell battle.

Uchida underwent surgery on his right knee in 2015 and was suspended for 1 year and 9 months.

Uchida joined Kashima Antlers in 2006 to help the team win a three-game J-League title 07-09, moving to Schalke 04 in 2010, moving to Bundesliga Union Berlin in 2017 and returning to Kashima Antlers in 2018.

In 14 and a half years, Uchida made 104 appearances in the Bundesliga, 147 in the J1 league, 74 for the Japanese national team, and participated in the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.
