On September 20th, the 15th China Outdoor Golden Rhino Awards Trail Runner of the Year was released, and the winner was Liang Jing, a trail runner who unfortunately died in the Silver Cross Country Race.
Reasons for winning:
Coming from the grassroots, he was introverted and shy by nature, found fun in running, and turned fun into the value of life.
After more than half a year of precipitation caused by the epidemic, Liang Jing won five cross-country running events with high degree of competition and different external environments in one month, indicating that after several years of training and polishing, he has achieved a perfect fit in terms of running ability, cross-country skills, race experience, and physical recovery ability. This is also reflected in his year-end ITRA points: Liang Jing ranks first in China and eighth in the world with 918 points. He used his own experience to tell everyone that even if your starting point is not high, through personal unremitting efforts, you can achieve the top of the pyramid in a field.
At the award ceremony, Liang Jing's 2-year-old daughter took the stage to receive the award on his behalf.
