Bentley, a 105-year-old United Kingdom luxury brand, announced the 2025 fourth-generation Flying Spur Speed, which has jumped to the brand's most powerful four-door sedan, last night (9/10) after unveiling the 4th-generation Continental GT Speed with a new 4.0-liter V8 plug-in power and 782 hp in June 2024!
Like the fourth-generation Continental GT/Continental GTC, which played a debut role, the fourth-generation Flying Spur is expected to be introduced in the domestic market in 2025.
However, since the 3rd generation Flying Spur has only been in the product cycle for 5 years (announced in June 2019) and the product positioning is in the luxury four-door sedan class, the 4th generation Flying Spur, which debuts as a 2025 model model, does not have as many significant changes as the 4th generation Continental GT, except for the redesigned radiator shroud grille, front/rear lower spoiler, rear tail light cluster, and the 4th generation Continental GT/Continental GTC Shared 22-inch lightweight 10-spoke two-tone wheels only.
Compared to the third-generation Flying Spur pictured below, the fourth-generation Flying Spur only gets a redesigned radiator shroud grille and front lower spoiler design at the front.
The rear of the fourth-generation Flying Spur (pictured above) is also different from the design of the third-generation model (pictured below) only in the rear tail light cluster.
In the cabin, the fourth-generation Flying Spur is roughly the same layout as the third-generation model, with a full digital instrument cluster still visible in front of the driver's seat, a 12.3-inch touch screen embedded in the center, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto phone connectivity, and all four seats can be equipped with the Comfort and Health Package, with automatic temperature sensing and a relaxing massage system, as well as an advanced negative ion air filtration and purification system.
Bentley has also said that the fourth-generation Flying Spur will be offered in a wide range of colours and interiors, including 101 exterior colours (excluding personalised colours), 22 interior leather colours, 11 interior colours (700 leather colour combinations), 8 wood/3 trim panels, and even a customisable 19-speaker, 2,200-watt Naim premium audio system.
In terms of performance, the fourth-generation Flying Spur Speed is replaced by a 4.0-liter V8 plug-in petrol-electric powertrain shared with the fourth-generation Continental GT/GTC Speed, known as the Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain, which is powered by a maximum horsepower of 600 hp (PS) and 800 Nm. m torque of 4.0 liter V8 twin-turbo petrol engine and a maximum power of 190 hp (PS) hp with 450 Nm. The electric motor (25.9 kWh) produces a combined output of 782 hp (PS) and a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm. Rice.
Paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive, the fourth-generation Flying Spur Speed accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 285 km/h, making it Bentley's most powerful and fastest luxury four-door sedan ever.
In addition, the fourth-generation Flying Spur Speed is also available in 4 modes: Pure EV, Electric Boost, Regenerative Braking and most importantly, Charge, with a top speed of 140 km/h, a range of 76 km, and a combined range of 829 km, and the battery is charged at 11kW AC slow charging, which takes 2.75 hours to fully charge.
Bentley also said that the fourth-generation Flying Spur is equipped with a host of the latest chassis technology, including the Bentley Performance active chassis, all-wheel steering, Bentley Dynamic Ride suspension, active torque vectoring and electronically controlled limited-slip differential, as well as a 48.3:51.7 front redistribution ratio.
