History of Light Weapons of Our Army (1)

More than 20 years ago, "Wuhan Public Transport News" published my series of comic books "The History of Our Army's Light Weapons", a total of seven episodes. "Wuhan Public Transport News" is the city's public transport system of the enterprise newspaper, the content is mainly related to the bus, very popular with the system workers, at that time, there are many such corporate newspapers, because of the strong professionalism, the people and things that the workers are familiar with in the newspaper make them feel cordial, so it is very vigorous. "Wuhan Public Transport News" later became more and more developed, and after changing its name to "Public Utilities News", it published a weekend edition. My comic book is made possible by the weekend edition, which allows me to face the reader. Although looking at him now, the technique makes people blush, but there is a sentiment in the middle, a newspaper's affection for me, corporate culture to give each employee feelings and even dignity. Although the "Wuhan Public Transport Daily" has ceased publication, his works are still there, and his imprint will remain with these works for a long time!

In the course of our army's battles, light weapons once played a vital role. From the First Civil Revolutionary War to the liberation of the whole country, the heroic Chinese People's Liberation Army used "millet plus rifles" to defeat the enemy with aircraft artillery. Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, the vast majority of the light weapons used by our soldiers were captured from the enemy. "The History of Light Weapons of Our Army" will briefly introduce these weapons.

1. Type 79 rifle. Our army began to use it in the First Civil Revolutionary War. The caliber of the gun is 7.92 mm, the shooting mode is a single shot, and the shooting actions such as loading, locking, firing, unlocking, and shelling need to be completed manually one by one. That is, after firing once, you need to complete the above actions in a loop before firing again. The rate of fire was low.

2. ZB-26 light machine gun. The former firearms designers of the Czech Slovakia Brno Arms Company, Wakalav · Hulek and Emmanuel · Hulek, began to design in 1924 and finalized in 1926. The gun uses 7.92 mm cartridges, air conduction automatic, bolt tilt locking, semi-automatic and fully automatic firing, and uses an air-cooled barrel. The gun was used in a wide range and was armed with the armies of more than 20 countries in the world. Since the founding of the army, our army has used the ZB-26 light machine gun as a squad machine gun in large quantities. For decades, the ZB-26 light machine gun accompanied the advance of our soldiers, step by step to victory. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was gradually replaced by new equipment.

3. Maxim heavy machine gun. British United States Hiram · S · Maxim was invented in 1883. The reciprocating actions of the gun, such as shelling, shelling, shelling, locking, and firing, are all carried out automatically, with a firing rate of 600 rounds per minute, and the barrel cooling method is water-cooled, which was called a major change in the history of light weapons development at that time. Our army used this gun from the time of the Red Army until the liberation of the country. It can be said that the Maxim heavy machine gun contributed to the victory of the Chinese revolution.
