What impressed us the most in August was ByteDance's generous efforts to promote bean bags and its absolute eyeballs.
The advertising message of Doubao involves all Chinese social platforms you can think of. On the data side, Doubao is far ahead of the first place in terms of volume on other platforms except Kuaishou.

Our survey found that in multiple statistical dimensions, doubao has a data performance that exceeds that of its peers:
- The search index of bean bags has increased significantly, and it has accelerated to approach Wenxin Yiyan, which has the advantage of being the first to speak in a large domestic model, and the latter's advantage has been continuously reduced.
- In terms of SaaS visits, Doubao has maintained a stable level of 10 million, forming the first echelon of domestic large models with Wenxin Yiyan and Kimi, which are also tens of millions.

ByteDance is using its powerful content product matrix (Douyin, Toutiao, Xigua Video, etc.) to quickly seize the minds of users with snowflake-like advertising. After several months of crazy output, remarkable results have been achieved in August, especially the C-end has built a strong product competitiveness.
丨Wenxin call volume and brand recognition are far ahead丨
Baidu is the first major manufacturer in China to release AI chat dialogue products. With Baidu's strong search matrix distribution capabilities, coupled with the "Baidu" brand endorsement and a strong business engine, it has quickly seized the high ground and become the preferred AI dialogue product for both B-end and C-end in China.
Baidu's Q2 financial report shows that the daily call volume of Wenxin's large model exceeded 50 million, an increase of 190% quarter-on-quarter, and Wenxin's API call volume is far ahead of other friends in China.
According to media reports, Wenxin Yiyan has also become Apple's preferred partner. The just-released iPhone 16 series is in talks with Baidu and other large-scale model companies on the implementation of Apple Intelligence in China.
In terms of user search actions in our statistics, Wenxin Yiyan is as much as 3 times ahead of the second place in terms of order of magnitude. Wenxin Yiyan is still the preferred product for users of domestic large models.
Baidu CEO Robin Li has repeatedly mentioned on many public occasions that only the closed-source model can ensure product strength and competitiveness, and closed-source can also open up a wider range of experience upgrades.

When investigating the August list, we found that Baidu Translate was the most searched AI product by users, and it was the only product on the list that reached tens of millions of searches.

For a long time, online translation, as a free service, has been the leading part of AI. With the introduction of generative AI technology, "AI translation" has gone further in terms of both "speaking people" and accuracy.
Immediately afterwards, WPS, Tencent Docs, and Baidu Wenku are still the most popular online document products among users. After AI transformation, more practical functions such as text creation, content rewriting, and AI-PPT generation have been added, bringing more convenience to team collaboration.
Another product worth paying attention to is the 360AI office. In July this year, 360 Group announced the launch of the "AI Office" brand.
