On August 4, the 2024 MotoGP Series arrived at Silverstone in the United Kingdom for its first main race after the summer break. The four riders of the CFMOTO ASPAR TEAM, which just finished their trip to China in July, burst out with great strength:
- Moto2 driver Jake Dixon fought at home in United Kingdom and won the championship with a dominant performance.
- Moto3 driver David Alonso continues to defend the top spot in the Moto3 drivers, teams and manufacturers' standings with the runner-up trophy.
In Saturday's qualifying, CFMOTO's performance in Moto2 and Moto3 was not perfect, as Silverstone is a very wake track, so the results of qualifying depend on the drivers' interpretation and use of the traffic conditions on the track. Luckily, CFMOTO's Jake Dixon and David Alonso, Moto3, both qualified for Sunday's race on the second row.

David Alonso, the current leader in the standings, did not rush to attack after the start, but stabilized in the lead group, and he plans to replicate the winning tactics of following the whole race in the first few races and making a strong effort in the last three laps. Another rookie in the CFMOTO factory team, Joel Esteban, started the race and moved up 10 places to lead the second group.
Alonso's tactics were well executed, but the interspersed positions within the leading group still increased the wear and tear of the tires to a certain extent. Ivan Ortola's tendency to take the lead on the penultimate lap also allowed Alonso to get ahead of schedule on the penultimate lap 3. Eventually, after the last three laps of brutal and intense hand-to-hand combat, Alonso crossed the finish line in second place. Despite finishing his seventh podium in 10 races of the season, he is still not satisfied with his performance and hopes to return to the top podium in Austria in two weeks' time.
In the Moto2 race, Jake Dixon made history for Chinese brands
At the end of the Moto2 race, CFMOTO rider Jake Dixon had a clear idea and quickly pushed ahead of his opponents to move up to second place, following Aron Canet and closing the gap to third place. In the second half of the race, the top two drivers had an eight-second lead with the camp behind. This also allowed Dixon to keep himself in a relatively comfortable rhythm throughout the race, observing every corner flaw of the opponent in front of him, while also protecting his tires well.
At Turn 1 on the final lap, Dixon completed the most important part of his game's tactics – sticking to his opponent, overtaking him with a late brake, and quickly taking it away in successive corners, without giving his opponent any chance to counterattack.
In the end, CFMOTO driver Jake Dixon crossed the finish line first and won his first home victory, which was also the first championship for a Chinese brand in Moto2, and CFMOTO once again made history in the MotoGP series.
CFMOTO closed the gap on its rivals in the Moto2 standings with its stunning performance on both fronts in the United Kingdom Grand Prix, while CFMOTO continues to lead all the standings including drivers, teams and manufacturers in the Moto3 standings.
