With "A Spoon" after three wins
It is reported that this is the third time that Jiang Qinqin has won the best actress for "A Spoon". Previously, Jiang Qinqin also won the "Queen of Vientiane" at the 7th Vientiane International Chinese Film Festival with "A Spoon", and the "Golden Sheep Award" of the first "Golden Sheep Award" at the Macao International Film Festival.
"A Spoon" is adapted from hebei writer Hu Xuewen's novella "Running Moonlight", which is the debut work written and directed by Jiang Qinqin's husband, Chen Jianbin. Jiang Qinqin: I participated in the Tokyo Film Festival for the first time, because most of my previous visits to Tokyo were tourism and shopping. This time I came to the film festival with my work, the meaning is different, I am very excited, I am looking forward to it, and I am very happy, because it is very grand. Reporter: How many times have you been to Japan? What is the impression?
Jiang Qinqin: Many times, countless times. I love Japan. The air is good, the environment is good, and the people are very NICE. Loved it all in all. When walking the red carpet, there were Chinese students studying abroad and Chinese working in Japan, and everyone was very enthusiastic.
Reporter: What are the expectations for participating in the film festival?
Jiang Qinqin: Because the Tokyo Film Festival is a very mature film festival, which is held every year with special grand and historical significance, it will also shine this year, and good movies will have good wins at the Tokyo Film Festival, and they can also bring good movies to the world through the Tokyo Film Festival.
Reporter: "A Spoon" is your husband Chen Jianbin's self-written and self-directed directorial debut, how do you evaluate it as an actor? What do you think about being a wife?
Jiang Qinqin: I think his starting point is quite high. I think this movie is something to say. Not a popcorn movie in general, or a fan movie. If you can calm down and watch this movie, watch it, you will have a new understanding of society, life, and the world. Very in-depth movie.
Reporter: Can you talk about your feelings about making this movie? What's the fun fact during filming?
Jiang Qinqin: I think director Chen Jianbin is very mature and will not waste time, in fact, sometimes shooting, most of the actors will wait on the spot, the cycle will be very long, but he does his homework before shooting the movie. So when we got to the scene, he knew how to direct the film, how to direct the actors, and we didn't waste any time going. We did this movie for less than 20 days. But his preparations were long. He can be said to have begun to brew such a film at this stage when his ignorance of the profession of film director began to sprout.
Reporter: Husband and wife are both in the same circle, will the husband's acting skills, development, etc. bring you pressure?
Jiang Qinqin: I just said that I was making this movie, and he himself did not consider asking me to perform. Because my previous roles were all representatives of appearance. In the past, most of the plays were rich ladies or women in the workplace. I have never played the image of a village woman who has landed so much. Didn't think about this at all. It was because the script, handed to the actor he wanted to hire, did not get a reply in the end, he could not wait, anxious to start. There was no way but to let me perform. Jiang Qinqin: I hope to take on some good movies, good TV series, and good characters.
