The lucky United States owner of the second unit of the Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) Flexporer 165 series in Italy will have to wait a few years to realize the yacht of his dreams, but the wait is worth it.

The company currently has 14 yachts on order or under construction, having sold the first yacht of its flagship series, the Flexporer 165, just three months ago. On top of that, CDM secured customers for its second Flexporer 165 at the end of July, which is destined to be in a class of its own thanks to extensive customization.

Flexplorer is an abbreviation for "flexible explorer", which combines the ability to stay at sea for long periods of time with the comfort that is more typical of a white yacht. At 50.3 meters long, the Flexplorer 165 is the shipyard's largest expedition series to date. Although part of the same family, the first and second Flexporer 165 superyachts are very different, each tailored to the needs and preferences of the customer. The first was sold to a European customer in April, and the second has just been sold to a "lifestyle-positive" United States customer.

This particular lifestyle will be fully reflected in the yacht's bespoke facilities, which also require complex design modifications and structural changes.
