The costume fantasy idol drama "The Legend of the Red Shadow of the Classic of Mountains and Seas" is directed by Zhu Ruibin and co-starring Zhang Han, Gulinaza, Guan Zhibin, Wu Lei, Lan Yingying, Li Chao, Tang Yun, Gao Weiguang, Gao Junxian, Li Mao, Yin Zheng and Tian Yupeng.
The drama is based on the pre-Qin masterpiece "Classic of Mountains and Seas", which tells the mythological story of the ancient period. In response to the drought, Dongyi and Jiuli, two ancient Chinese tribes, sent people to Taohua pass to find the Heavenly Goddess according to the prophecy of the priests. A pair of friends Su Mo (Gulinazha) and Fu'er (Lan Yingying) have since borne different fates, one as a Suzaku Niece to protect the people of Jiuli, and the other as a Green Dragon Niece to lead Dongyi to seize the water source of Jiuli upstream. A mysterious woman and seven star messengers can form a team and awaken the corresponding divine beasts. However, the first awakening ceremony of the Suzaku team was sabotaged by the Dongyi general Bai Lihan (Li Chao). In order to awaken the Divine Beast again, Dongyi and Jiuli began to compete for the White Tiger and the Xuanwu Divine Pestle. Bai Lihan took advantage of the emotional entanglement between Su Mo and Fu'er to deceive the divine pestle and successfully awaken the Green Dragon. In order to prevent Dongyi from enslaving the people of Jiuli, Su Mo led the Suzaku team to go up to the Kunlun Mountains again, looking for water source beads, and finally used the power of water source beads to rescue the drought and open a new world of peace and friendship.
