On September 13, Zhang Ying, vice mayor of Tai'an City, and his party went to Taishan Mountain Scenic Area to inspect and guide the prevention and control of pine wood nematode disease, accompanied by Li Yong, deputy secretary general of the municipal government, Xiao Yuguo, deputy secretary of the party working committee and director of the management committee of the scenic spot, and Ma Shengping, member of the party working committee and deputy director of the management committee of the scenic spot.
Zhang Ying and his entourage successively went to the scenic forest defense station, the cherry orchard baishuigou fire prevention and insect prevention inspection station, the Zhuanshanzi disease and pest prevention and control site, and the Caishixi quarantine inspection station, inspected the inspection and quarantine, the construction of the laboratory, the cutting of piles, the prevention and control of ancient pine and ecological restoration, and other pine nematode disease prevention and control work, and listened to reports from the responsible comrades of the relevant management areas and forest defense stations.
The inspection team fully affirmed the "precise prevention and control" of pine wood nematode disease in Taishan Mountain Scenic Area and the results achieved, highly praised the tenacious style of cadres and workers of the scenic spot who are meticulous, strive for excellence, immerse themselves in hard work, and bravely shoulder heavy burdens, and asked the scenic spots to further improve their political positions, firmly shoulder the political responsibility of maintaining the ecological safety of Mount Taishan, and further increase scientific research and treatment efforts for major forestry pests such as pine wood nematode disease, ensure the removal of epidemic points, and create a national key regional governance benchmark.
