On July 22, 2024, the "Typical Case Forum on Legal Practice and Skills of Wealth Management" was successfully held online, sponsored by the Dentons Financial Professional Committee, the Dentons Financial Industry Committee, the Financial Professional Group of Dentons Beijing Head Office, and the Financial Industry Group of Dacheng Beijing Head Office, and organized by the Wealth Management Legal Research Center of Dacheng Financial Special Committee.
This forum focuses on hot issues in the field of wealth management and marriage and family, and invites experienced colleagues in the field of wealth management to interpret the latest development trends and working methods in the field of wealth management through typical cases, aiming to improve the practical skills of lawyers in the field of wealth management for high-net-worth individuals.
The opening session was co-chaired by Mr. Xue Jing, Senior Partner of Dentons and Executive Director of Dentons' Wealth Management Legal Research Center, and Mr. Huang Lijun, who shared the theme of "The Evolution and Transformation of Wealth Management Lawyers' Business".

Mr. Xue Jing shared typical risk cases of family business inheritance through SCS scenarios, 3D maps of wealth risk of high-net-worth clients, and analysis of relationship variables. Combined with vivid cases such as Wahaha's intergenerational inheritance, the battle for control of Shanshan shares, and the Youzu Lynch inheritance case, Mr. Xue Jing expounded the main issues that wealth management lawyers should guide clients to pay attention to and help clients solve, provided methodologies and suggestions for the business direction of wealth management lawyers, and pointed out the urgency and complexity of family inheritance.

From the perspective of "the transformation and transformation of China's wealth management market", Mr. Huang Lijun analyzed and pointed out that China, as the world's second largest wealth management market, has rapidly changing family needs and institutional transformation is imminent. At the same time, Mr. Huang also shared his new thoughts and guidance in the process of serving state-owned enterprises and financial institutions.
Ms. Zhang Huimin, Partner of Dentons and Deputy Director of Dentons' Wealth Management Legal Research Center, shared her views on the theme of "Under the Implementation of the New Company Law, New Developments and Analysis of Equity Split in Divorce Disputes and Analysis of Dispute Focus". Lawyer Zhang Huimin systematically elaborated on the basis of the division of the joint equity of husband and wife, the handling ideas and the relevant amendment clauses. At the same time, focusing on the relevant judicial trial practice, Mr. Zhang analyzed the impact of the new changes on equity division cases in divorce proceedings, pointed out the difficulties in the application of law under the implementation of the new company law, and gave specific solutions.
Mr. Wang Dan, Senior Partner of Dentons and Deputy Director of Dentons Wealth Management Legal Research Center, shared the theme of "Compliance Management, Steady Development - Focusing on Wealth Management Inheritance and Criminal Risk Management". Based on classic cases, lawyer Wang Dan reminded the managers of family enterprises to enhance their awareness of criminal risk prevention from five aspects: the necessity of criminal compliance, the criminal legal risks of entrepreneurs in operation and transactions, how to introduce the criminal isolation mechanism, and how to prevent and control criminal risks in family enterprises.
Guo Lin, Dentons' consultant and secretary-general of Dentons' Wealth Management Legal Research Center, shared the theme of "New Skills of Traditional Marriage Lawyers in Litigation Cases". Starting from a divorce case of senior executives of a listed company undertaken by the team, Ms. Guo Lin shared how to win the "evidence war" when it comes to the divorce and division of complex property, how to help clients get out of the "quagmire" of marriage as soon as possible through negotiation, and the non-litigation tools that can be expanded in marriage and family litigation.
Ms. Gong Lian, Deputy Secretary-General of Dentons Wealth Management Legal Research Center, shared the theme of "Tracing the Core Legal Risks in Wealth Management". Based on the international and domestic policy situation and the background of the implementation of the new company law, Ms. Gong Lian analyzed the risks faced by high-net-worth clients from multiple dimensions in combination with the hot cases of divorce or inheritance of the founders of many enterprises such as Tudou and 360, and pointed out the ways to use different legal tools and financial tools to solve the relevant risks.
Ms. Zhang Jiayue, Partner of Dentons and Deputy Director of Dentons Wealth Management Legal Research Center, shared the theme of "Equity Structure Design and Corporate Governance of Family Enterprises". Starting from the impact of the changes in the new company law on the governance of family enterprises, Ms. Zhang Jiayue takes the evolution of the equity structure design of the Ruan Brothers family business of Bull Group as an example, reveals the impact of different equity structure designs of family enterprises on the control of the company, analyzes the problems existing in the development of family enterprises, and puts forward corresponding risk response suggestions.
Ms. Feng Weiya, Partner of Dentons and Deputy Secretary-General of Dentons Wealth Management Legal Research Center, shared the theme of "How Wealth Management Lawyers Can Do Personal Branding". Ms. Feng Weiya elaborated on the value and logic of lawyers' personal branding. Ms. Feng Weiya gave examples of how to do a good job of personal branding for wealth management lawyers from various aspects such as visual, writing, lectures, videos, and live broadcasts, providing inspiration for lawyers on how to build their personal brands and continue to deepen their specialization in today's competitive society.
The theme forum was held live on Dacheng's WeChat video account, and was watched by more than 6,000 people. Eight Dacheng colleagues shared their typical cases and practical experience, and the participants discussed and interacted actively in the comment area, and the theme forum ended successfully with the enthusiastic participation and high praise of the audience.
