
Training is an important part of the race.
In the past one or two decades, we have summarized such as "three-level training", "four-way training", "fan-shaped training", "two-black training"... Many good methods have played a great role in promoting the overall level of competition in their respective historical periods.
With the shift in the focus of the event (from the ultra-long-range event packaged and disguised as a speed ratio, which is actually a distance to the medium and short-distance events that are really faster), the practice of "intensive training" is more popular.
The author has made a period of shallow thinking and experimentation on this, and in this spring's competition, there are some experiences and "results", and now the "package" comes out, there are about training, there are others, all out of order, let's "mix it up".
Let's talk about the more popular intensive training at present, as the name suggests, high-intensity training: when it first arose, it was a hundred and eighty kilometers apart from three forks and five trips, compared with the past "I don't train much" situation, let us suddenly taste the sweetness.
According to our habitual thinking of "since everyone is 'training', how can I go further", the training course is gradually increased quickly and uncontrollably, and even directly placed on the competition ground, and the frequency has also developed into one, two, three per day... n trips, want to train you are not yet in condition!
According to the author's understanding of this kind of "cool training" idea, to some extent inspired and influenced by Taiwanese pigeon fanciers, but once we "warmed up", it will go to a higher level.
As we all know, due to the huge bonus temptation of Taiwan's Xiangjie, the level and skills of its management links such as raising and training are also unsatisfactory in the world.
In order to make the high prize money distribution more reasonable (not to win a fluke and win), the clever Taiwan fanciers, coupled with the longest "land skin" of only more than 300 kilometers, have created a different from the international "single pass" practice, the qualified elimination system multi-level race, which is unique (Germany also has multi-level pigeons, but not "qualified" elimination, the United States has also recently engaged in multi-level competitions, but only an isolated phenomenon).
Subsequently, because there are many people who operate the "network industry", they have no choice but to derive "Haixiang", so "qualified" and "launched" are not lost in the scientific actions of adapting to local conditions and seeking truth from facts. This remark is not intended to please the compatriots, but mainly to explore the method of "intensive training" formed in the multi-level format.
First of all, it should be affirmed that this idea of "intensive training" that Taiwan fanciers have been exploring for many years under the encouragement of high prize money is definitely in line with the multi-level competition system, and it is precisely because of the compliance that the following questions can be raised: What is the essence of multi-level competition? Or how far can the pigeons be trained to win in a series of three, four or five" races (the purpose of intensive training)?
The answer is to return to the nest within each level (usually 600-800 m/min) as fast as possible.
From the perspective we are accustomed to flying single pass, six or seven hundred meters? That is Zhang Fei eating bean sprouts - a small dish, but for several consecutive levels, more than a dozen levels is not an easy task, so in Taiwan every year there are more than a thousand single level champions "anonymous" (not worth mentioning at all), and in each level is not very fast but finally survived to the "residual X feathers" In addition to winning a generous prize for the owner, it has also become a meritorious pigeon and a sought-after commodity.
With the deepening of exchanges with Taiwan's Xiangjie, in the past three or five years, we have also held a number of multi-level races in various forms in various places, and experienced fanciers always send "old fritters" that have been replayed many times, and the effect is not bad!
To put it bluntly, multi-level racing is a form of competition that is disguised by the ratio speed, but is actually a more stable than the competition.
In other words, the intensive training method that is currently popular or "preparing" in our continent and should be dedicated to multi-level races can ensure that the pigeons are more guaranteed to return within the "tolerance range" of the given time.
But there is never an unexpected performance in terms of speed (unless there is an abnormal weather), and the repeated training at the same race site has caused the pigeons to wear out their excitement at this distance, or to say that the training is tired.
In large and medium-sized cities, with the rapid popularization of short- and medium-range strains such as "Assen" and "Rose", from the pedigree alone, no one can have a significant speed advantage over others, and under normal weather conditions, there is no longer a "dream united team" that includes l-n in the 300-500 km race.
Not convinced? There are two possibilities, first, your level is too high, second, your pigeon club level is too low, just to the author's place, only 1700 members of Jinan City as an example, a good day, the full rank is 10-20 minutes, a minute "squeeze" three or five places is not unusual, not enabled when the 168 information desk, the check-in is not queued.
Therefore, I think that the "intensive training" method that focuses on improving relative stability is not suitable for the single-level events that we are currently facing with a speed-based ratio (unless you have a large number of players who need to be "sieve").
What we really need is a training method that allows the pigeons to maximize their physiological limits in terms of race station and speed, and intensive training can only play the normal value with more confidence, and it is impossible to play the "limit value", and in the case of the same level, only the limit can be expected to win the championship.
Mr. Sun Yucheng of Liaoning Province mentioned it in his article. "Panjin City 700 km race on the day of friday. The six-level downwind, with lightning and thunder behind it, creates a higher speed."
Lightning and thunder behind, don't say it's a tailwind, and the wind can't slow down. Tigers are chasing after the butt, and Carl Lewis can't catch up with you! This is just a joke, but it is enough to show that the biggest and most effective motivation for organisms to exert their physical abilities is fear.
Herbivores such as antelopes and deer can run fast enough, right? cause? The carnivores are scared out: on the way home from the night shift, the little girl rides faster than the boys? cause? It's also fear.
But how can our pigeons return quickly under the influence of fear once they are released at the race point? Or how to "create" fear? For the pigeon flying in the sky, we really cannot create a tangible object such as a jackal, a wolf, a tiger, a leopard, or something like lightning and thunder that makes it afraid always follows.
After thinking and thinking, the only way is: the mileage of the training is always determined at a distance from the race, to put it bluntly, let the pigeons go to the race station, because they have never set foot and feel afraid, of course, there are always two sides to things, the span between the training station and the race station is too large, it is easy to appear two situations, one, "guess" the direction of the abnormal speed homecoming, which is what we hope; second, panic do not choose the road. Fly in the wrong direction. Cause disorientation into "off-the-shift".
On the other hand, I think that it is now an era of "the one who is worried is not to lose the pigeon, but one is not to lose but one is not fast", is it not enough to have a really fast one?
Combined with the law of "spring release should be early, autumn release should be late", the author began the Spring Festival holiday in 2001, and the only 18 pigeons were each 28 kilometers per Saturday and Wednesday (motorcycle odometer records, but the "official" habit is called 40 kilometers.
The first few trips down, I feel that there is an effect, the amount of food has risen slightly, the weight has decreased, but with the passage of time, the weight has slowly rebounded, and the 30 kilometers of this road does not seem to work.
If this state, even if you really reach the situation that you imagine in the game that you are desperately flying home because of "fear", I am afraid that you will have more than enough and lack of strength, your physical fitness will not come up, and your life will be in vain.
What to do? Change the plan - increase the training distance? Isn't it a waste of previous achievements? Can we flexibly increase the amount of activity on the one hand, and on the other hand, we must maintain the "respect" of the race distance?
My method is: Wednesday this trip time is early, 4 o'clock in the morning before dawn to start, 40 minutes to 28 kilometers, then let go, looming in the night, do not know the east, west, north and south, the groove for a long time as a "home fly" hovering, tired enough to choke and dare not land it!
The first few times, when I arrived home from work at noon, some pigeons could not come back, that is, those who came back early, and the fatigue level was obviously better than flying one or two hundred kilometers.
My post-mortem analysis: Although it is still a short 28 kilometers, that is, the period of time before the "home flight" before dawn is only about an hour, but the flying posture, the speed, especially in the case of the inability to oriente, the "mood", how can the family fly be compared, the family flight is just idle strolling. A few trips down, and then get started, there is a "feeling" in the shed is not "nonsense".
On 18 March 2001, when the spring race of the Jinan Carrier Pigeon Association began, I threw 14 pigeons directly into the "ultra long range" 300 km (the farthest training was only 16 times 28 km before), winning nearly 5,000 pigeons.
Under normal weather conditions in which runners-up to 50 "dumplings" filled up quickly, the winner stood out and led the runners-up by 48 minutes and set the highest score in the 22-year history of the city pigeon club.
This campaign made me start to believe in my own point of view, but I always felt that there was an element of luck, maybe "bumped", and later, the first club of the city pigeon club 300 km race, the collection of 1298 pigeons, I basketed 4 pigeons (2 re-releases, 2 first prizes).
In ten minutes, he won the championship with a 4-minute advantage of 50 places (the first race, 28 km after 21 previous trainings) and 22 places (replay).
At this point, I believe in my own view: under normal weather conditions, it is easiest to score high scores for the first time.
Later, in the first club 500 km race, I basketed 6 pigeons (re-release). At the same time, only 15, 19, 22 and 24 were named.
In the third club 300 km race, I basketed 5 pigeons (re-release) and dropped at the same time, only 16th, 42nd and 48th.
The medical club is 300 km, 3 pigeons in the cage (re-release), only 51 are reported....
Readers will find that as the number of entries increases, my rankings go all the way down, thus providing arguments for my point of view in reverse, which is called one drum, then decline, and three exhaustion. The end of the crossbow cannot be worn.
Careful readers will also find that the later competitions have appeared at the same time the phenomenon of falling, and once so, it will not be able to get involved with the champion (but guaranteed to enter the ranking), on this issue, the author has the privilege of directly and indirectly hearing about the views of individual coaches in Taiwan at the same time, only to be trained to the fire, indeed, in Taiwan at the same time, the shed can be inserted neatly, and the prize money is rich.
But the author always thinks that this is a symptom of fatigue, different strains, different temperaments, different states, different body structures (wind tunnel mechanics indicators), the same weather, the same rapidity, no doubt that some of the individuals have not fully utilized.
Again, the saying goes: Different formats require different thinking.
A season of experimentation has given me a new understanding of training: in the past, we trained in four directions, fan training, in order to familiarize the pigeons with the surrounding environment of the shed; little by little, in order to let the pigeons remember the road (large marks on the surface), I don't know, the pigeons are not born to remember the way!
How far can it fly, the moment the sperm penetrates the egg cell wall has been frozen, not the "material", from Beijing to Hongxian set up 500 training stations, or will be lost in the "memory" of the distance.
What is the purpose of training? First, training is a way to adjust the state of the player, similar to widowhood, viv, incubation, etc.
Second, training is the exercise of the physical fitness of the players, the effect depends on the ratio of the amount of delay and fatigue recovery, after scientifically determining the total amount (too late), the low frequency large distance is not as good as the medium frequency medium distance, and the medium frequency medium distance is not as good as the high frequency low distance.
