The ecological construction model of tea plantation covers tea varieties, cultivation, soil, biology, plant protection, fertilizer and other fields. Adhering to the human-centered rational ecological ethics thought, we strive for the revival of the tea industry.
Protein is one of the main components of the human body, and the weight of protein in the adult body accounts for about 16.3% of body weight. The role of proteins in living organisms is quite important.
1. Protein is the main component of the cells and tissues of all living organisms, and it is also the material basis of the morphological structure of living organisms.
2. The self-renewal of the components of the organism is the essence of life activities, and almost all the chemical reactions that constitute metabolism are carried out due to the catalysis of enzymes, and the enzymes that have been discovered so far are proteins.
3. Many small molecule substances and ions required for life activities are transported by proteins. For example, hemoglobin, which carries oxygen in animal blood, etc.
4. The movement of life is also inseparable from protein. For example, the main component of muscle in higher animals is protein, and muscle contraction is achieved by the relative gliding of myosin and actin.
5. The defense system of organisms, such as antibodies, is a class of highly specific proteins, which can recognize viruses, bacteria and other cells of the body, and combine with them, playing the function of protecting the body from harm. Interferon, which destroys the invading virus that is lost by the action of antibodies in the cell, is also made up of proteins.
In addition, recent molecular biology studies have shown that proteins play an important role in the sex of genetic information, the permeability of cell membranes, and the memory and recognition mechanisms of higher animals.
So, what is the composition of proteins? Protein is a biological macromolecule, with a molecular weight ranging from about 6,000 to 1,000,000 Dalton. How many basic amino acids are there that make up proteins? For quite some time, it was thought that there were twenty, but scientists found that there is also a twenty-one basic amino acid, which is selenocysteine.
Note: Amino acid residues are joined by a α-amino group of one amino acid molecule and the α-carboxyl group of another amino acid molecule in the form of a peptide bond by removing one molecule of water. The so-called amino acid residues are amino acids that are dehydrogenated and carboxyl groups are removed due to the form of peptide bonds. Figuratively speaking, the left hand of an amino acid residue, that is, its α-amino group, is connected with the right hand (α-carboxyl group) of the previous amino acid residue with a peptide bond, and its right hand, that is, its α-carboxyl group, is connected with the left hand α-amino group of the back amino group, which is connected by a peptide bond, and so on, forming a long polypeptide chain.
