It was cold in autumn, the thick quilt at home was soaked with water mold and could not be used, and the summer cool quilt that had just been issued in the previous period was becoming more and more thin. On the morning of August 28, Wu Lianfeng, a villager in Beiguan Village, a suburb of Weihui City, said while chatting with her neighbors that it would be good to have a thick quilt!

What to think, what to expect! As soon as Wu Lianfeng's voice fell, she received a notice from the village: The Xinxiang Municipal Finance Bureau, a support unit in Beiguan Village, has just sent a batch of thick quilts, and each household can go to the village committee compound with the household registration book to collect it!

"What a god! How did they know what was missing in my family?! Wu Lianfeng couldn't help but clap her hands in admiration. The help team came for 22 days, and such "miracles" were done one after another: at the beginning, the village was full of stinking garbage mountains, which were moved one by one; instant noodles, small bread, and rice noodle oil were sent to the home; corn and peanuts in the field were all "soaked", and the mung bean seeds needed for replanting were sent for free...

Breaking her fingers and counting the recent changes in the village's home, Wu Lianfeng happily told reporters: "The help team I thought of has been done, and the help team I didn't expect has also thought of it for me!" ”

A few days ago, Wu Lianfeng was not so optimistic.

Beiguan Village is located in the combination of urban and rural areas, is the lowest lying place nearby, there is the East Mengjiangnu River in the south, the Laowei River in the north, the Beiguan row runs through the middle of the village, and there are different degrees of overflow during the flood, and the deepest part of the water in the village is more than 3 meters! All 800 houses in the village have been flooded, 430 mu of farmland have been harvested, and more than 200 mu of fish ponds have also been lost, making it one of the worst-hit villages in Weihui City.

On August 3, before the water could recede, Wu Lianfeng eagerly returned home, saw that the furniture, grain, clothes, and beds were all blistered, and cried out on the spot: "The good home is all over, this time should pass!" ”

Li Leixin, secretary of the party branch of Beiguan Village, also secretly "pessimistic": he organized party members and cadres to carry out self-help for the first time, but the accumulated water that could be discharged did not flow from the surrounding highlands as much, and the garbage that was cleared out was not as much as that the masses constantly threw out. The more dry everyone is, the cooler it gets, and I don't know when it's a head.

Just then, "foreign aid" came!

One-on-one help, so that "Beiguan" is no longer pessimistic

The Xinxiang Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government have supported Weihui City in speeding up post-disaster reconstruction, set up a leading group to support Weihui City's post-disaster reconstruction, and sent 6 working groups to Weihui; municipal units have formed 58 task forces to carry out "one-on-one" assistance in 58 hard-hit villages in the flood storage and detention area.

The Xinxiang Municipal Finance Bureau of Beiguan Village quickly set up a forward working group and a logistics coordination and support group, and all 9 members of the front working group were communists. After on-site investigation and judgment, the help team came up with a package of support plans from drainage and drainage, garbage removal, disinfection and killing, to water, electricity, ventilation, and then to agricultural replanting and replanting, epidemic prevention and control, and implemented them one by one.

Too much water. The task force borrowed a "dragon suction" and a supporting 100KW mobile power station, and also purchased 5 water pumps, coordinated 3200 liters of diesel fuel, and pumped stagnant water day and night, accumulating 498,000 cubic meters of drainage.

The alleys in the village are too narrow, and the large-scale clearance equipment is not easy to work. First use the running carriage to pull out and then concentrate on clearing the transport. Hook machines, forklifts, large transport vehicles, running carriages and other 12 large and small equipment took turns, and the total amount of garbage removed was about 15,900 cubic meters.

The task force is not enough manpower, the volunteer service team of the Finance Bureau has dispatched more than 120 person-times, successively to the village to help clean, disinfect and kill, carry materials, but also sent 300 bags of rice, 300 bags of noodles, 300 barrels of cooking oil, 500 pieces of bottled water, 3,000 quilts, 800 boxes of food...

The help team contributed to the work, and soon cleaned up the "mess" that had made the villagers "big", so that the pessimism that lingered in Beiguan Village disappeared. "If there is no help team, it will take at least 20 days for the village to restore normal living order!" Li Leixin said.

Feng Hui (second from left), secretary of the party leading group and director of the Xinxiang Municipal Finance Bureau, asks the cadres of Beiguan Village about the situation

Feng Hui, secretary of the party leading group and director of the Xinxiang Municipal Finance Bureau, said that the task of rebuilding the homeland is arduous and long, the work of helping and supporting is full of problems, and the help team will "need what help", and will not collect troops unless it wins a complete victory.

The story of Beiguan Village's help was staged simultaneously in Weihui's 58 hard-hit villages. Up to now, all these villages have been connected to water and electricity, all villagers have moved back, and the production and life of the masses have steadily recovered.
