Sheji Temple, Fencheng Town, Xiangfen County: Exploring the Treasures of Ancient Architecture

On the east side of Hongji Bridge, there is a Qing Dynasty Sheji Temple, which worships the god of Sheji, which is exquisite but few people know. I stumbled upon it, stepping into it, as if I had traveled through time and space to ancient times. The temple building is simple and elegant, the dedication hall, the main hall, the bell and drum tower are all available, and the momentum is magnificent.

What attracts me the most is the exquisite wood carving, the fence, the bird, the weeping lotus stigma, everywhere is finely carved, the double dragon plays with the pearl, the fish water cloud pattern, vivid and realistic. The bucket arches are layered on top of each other, the knife work is skillful, the lines are smooth, and the vermilion lacquer is painted, just like a picture scroll.

Ascending the bell tower, the dome-style caisson comes into view, with simple colors and gossip graphics, highlighting ancient philosophical thoughts. Sheji Temple not only carries history and culture, but also is a treasure of art.
