Returning to the teachers and students of Confucius, what are the necessary questions and must-do questions in life? Fame and fortune are all about it, especially for students who are already famous and want to climb the ladder. So, it's really not easy for Mr. Kong, everything is not going well and he is struggling, what do the students think? How can you be obedient and study hard? How does he explain to the big guys the meaning of his persistence and perseverance?
There are many "brothers" or "identical brothers" in the Analects, and the text of the two chapters is the same. or "fraternal brothers", the text is small and the chapter is similar. What's going on? In the first case, it is normal in ancient texts, and it is generally called "re-emergence"—that is, the record is repeated. The Analects was originally written by a group of Confucius's disciples and grandchildren based on their own memories, and Confucius often gave lectures and open classes, and slowly "said" to all the students—different people wrote down the same words, and there was nothing to make a fuss about. But what about the second case? How can the connotation of the record be the same, but the choice of words and sentences, and the tone are not so different?
——For example, "if you don't suffer from others, you don't know yourself", in "Learning and First", the next sentence is based on "You don't know people when you suffer".
In "Constitutional Question 14", it is based on "suffering from its can't", and this is only a difference in foothold; In "Liren Fourth", this chapter is completely restated: "Do not suffer from no position, but stand when you suffer." Don't suffer from self-knowledge, seek to know. "What's going on? Let's take a look at what they all mean together. The so-called "don't suffer from others and don't know yourself" is not complicated, that is, don't be afraid that others don't know who you are, don't be afraid that others will misunderstand you; As for "not knowing others", it is not complicated, that is, what you should really worry about is whether you misunderstand others - "suffering from them can't" is the same way, that is, what is really worth worrying about is that your ability may not be worthy of your reputation.
- In the chapter "No Suffering, No Position" in "Liren", the difference can be regarded as a kind of synthesis: we must strive to earn a real name and position.
Everyone must have also discovered that these words that seem to have the same connotation are actually going to different places with the same starting point. The so-called "don't suffer from people and don't know yourself, and you don't know people if you suffer from them", I mean: Students, don't be burdened by false fame and fame. The so-called "don't suffer from people's ignorance, suffer from their inability to also", when they understand that vanity is nothing, they should seek their own bodies, and silently cultivate themselves into a towering tree - famous, but also one of the fertilizers of this tree. In this way, Teacher Kong said: Let's summarize and leave the class, it is "not suffering from no position, suffering from so standing." Don't be afraid that good jobs and good positions will be occupied by vain, or think more about how to cheer yourself up, so that you can have your wisdom and strength.
- So, first, those chapters and verses that look similar at first glance actually have their own reasons that have been recorded.
Second, it is also likely that students are always having the same troubles, just like our teachers talk about the same type of questions - nothing more than for different students, do you talk about derivative question types? How much? How deep? Returning to the teachers and students of Confucius, what are the necessary questions and must-do questions in life? Fame and fortune are all about it, especially for students who are already famous and want to climb the ladder. So, it's really not easy for Mr. Kong, everything is not going well and he is struggling, what do the students think? How can you be obedient and study hard? How does he explain to the big guys the meaning of his persistence and perseverance? …… Come to think of it, there should be many students who can't listen to the Master's seat, "don't suffer from others and don't know about themselves......
- It is a pity that the Analects has those repeated admonitions, and it can also be seen that the heart of the people who are teachers are common.
Children, I'm just a teacher, and I can only do my best to help you sort out the basic principles of life...... As for whether you can listen to it or not, or how to do it after all, whether you do it with sneer at the teacher, and whether you have explored the deeper truth of life after all...... I have only "beginnings", "care" and long blessings here. Finally, after more than 2,000 years, we might as well not be in a hurry to get out of class, and we might as well take one last look at what Mr. Kong wiped and wrote on the blackboard, "Don't suffer from others and don't know yourself". There are at least two kinds of viewers: first, this is an inescapable problem, misunderstanding or understanding, strength or fame, opportunity or miss--since there is no escape, face it, think carefully about it, and practice it.
- Moreover, Lao Tzu also has a cloud: "The winner is powerful, and the self-winner is strong." "When there is no other way, self-victory is the solution.
