Yesterday, the scope of rainfall expanded slightly to the east, with heavy rain or torrential rain in parts of southern Chongqing, central and western Guizhou, western and southeastern Yunnan, southwestern Hunan, northwest Guangxi, and central and northern Hainan Island, and localized heavy rain in Haikou, Hainan.
Starting today, as the warm and humid airflow strengthens northward, the rain will increase and intensify in the south. It is expected that from the 18th to the 20th, there will be a heavy rainfall process in the eastern part of southwest China, southern China, and southern Jiangnan, with heavy to heavy rain in most areas, and heavy rain in parts of the eastern and southern coasts of Guangxi, central and western Guangdong, and southern coastal areas, and local heavy rains. Specifically, the Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that today, there will be moderate to heavy rain in parts of western Hunan, northeast and central Chongqing, eastern Yunnan, most of Guangxi, central and western Guangdong, Hainan Island, etc., among them, there will be heavy rain or heavy rain (100~120 mm) in parts of southern Guangxi, western Guangdong and southern coastal areas.
Tomorrow, there will be moderate to heavy rain in parts of central Jilin, central Liaoning, eastern Hebei, northern Shandong, western Hubei, southern Sichuan Basin, eastern Yunnan, central and eastern Guangxi, most of Guangdong, southern Hunan and other places, among them, there will be heavy rain or heavy rain (100~230 mm) in parts of eastern Guangxi and southeastern Guangxi.
The day after tomorrow, there will be moderate to heavy rain in some areas of Xinjiang along the Tianshan Mountains and the Ili River Valley, southeast Chongqing, southern Yunnan, southern Hunan, most of Guangdong, most of Fujian, Hainan Island, Taiwan Island and other places, among them, there will be heavy rain or heavy rain (100~130 mm) in parts of southeastern Fujian, central and southern coastal areas of Guangdong.
The meteorological department reminded that during this process, the meteorological risk of geological disasters, flash floods, and floods in small and medium-sized rivers in some areas of Guangxi, Guangdong and other places is high, and the public should pay attention to prevention.

With the eastward movement of the warm high pressure on the mainland, the sunny and hot temperature in the north has escalated, and the temperature from Hebei to northern Hunan, Jiangxi, eastern Guangdong and other places reached more than 30 °C yesterday. The high temperature above 35°C is mainly concentrated in the central and western parts of Henan, the central part of Shaanxi, and the southern part of Shanxi.
Today, the high temperature in North China and Huanghuai will continue, and the high temperature range will be extended to Shandong, Hebei and other places, and many places will experience dry heat exposure. Among the provincial capital-level cities, Jinan and Hohhot are likely to experience the first high temperature of the year, earlier than the same period of the year.
Starting tomorrow, with the arrival of cold air, the hot state in these areas will ease and the range of high temperatures will gradually decrease. It is expected that the cold air will not affect the north for too long, and after its impact, the maximum temperature in North China, Huanghuai, Northwest and other places will still be above 30 °C, and there will still be high temperatures locally.
In addition, under the influence of cold air and rainfall, the temperature in the northeast region will fluctuate greatly today and tomorrow. Yesterday, the maximum temperature in most of Northeast China was generally above 25 °C, and tomorrow the maximum temperature in Heilongjiang and Jilin will drop to about 15 °C, and the maximum temperature in most parts of Liaoning will only be in the early 20 °C.
