In order to commemorate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, under the guidance of the Propaganda Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, after more than a year of preparation, the Xinhua Daily Newspaper History Museum was officially completed and opened on July 1, 2021. With a total area of more than 1,800 square meters, the newspaper history museum will comprehensively display the eventful years since the establishment of Xinhua Daily in the form of exhibition panels, physical objects, and multimedia.

The Xinhua Daily Newspaper History Museum has a copy of the "Extra". This "Xinhua Daily" was donated to Xinhua Daily by Qiao Chunsheng, a citizen of Nanjing, which witnessed the great victory of the Chinese nation against foreign invasion and also witnessed the beginning of the Chinese people getting rid of a century of humiliation, and has high collection value and research value.
"Xinhua Daily" announced the news of Japan's surrender to the people of the whole country in the form of an "extraordinary." On the night of August 10, 1945, the young Qiao Chunsheng snapped up this "extra" in front of the Xinhua Daily business department on Minsheng Road in Chongqing. Since then, although he has traveled to many places, Qiao Chunsheng has always treasured it. In September 1985, Qiao Chunsheng, an assistant engineer at Nanjing Yongsheng Internal Combustion Engine Factory, donated it to Xinhua Daily.
