JAKARTA, May 16, 2024 – Indonesia's mobile phone market grew 27.4% year-on-year and 11.5% quarter-on-quarter to 10 million units in the first quarter of 2024, according to international data Corporation (IDC) global data. Mobile phone manufacturers took advantage of the Ramadan peak season to bring in significant shipments. After several quarters of low shipments, handset makers topped up their channels, which set the stage for strong growth in the first quarter.

In the first quarter of 2024, OPPO ranked first with a market share of 19.9%, up 8.5% year-on-year. Led by Apple, the market for high-end mobile phones above $600 continued to grow significantly, up 12.8% year-on-year. $200
