From May 10th to 12th, a 10-member media delegation from an Egyptian think tank, led by Iman Allaf, editor-in-chief of the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram, visited the China-Arab Reform and Development Research Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Center") and inspected the economic development of Shanghai. The delegation included mainstream Egyptian media personalities from Al-Ahram, La Repubblica, Ruz Youssef magazine, Cairo News Network, News Today Network, etc., as well as experts and scholars from the Arab Institute, the Centre for the Study of Pyramid Politics and Strategic Studies, and the Egyptian Foreign Affairs Council.

On the 12th, a media delegation from an Egyptian think tank held a discussion with scholars from the center. Professor Wang Guangguang, Secretary-General of the Center, introduced the good trend of China's economy in 2024 with detailed data and cases, and made key responses to "China's economy has peaked" and "China's overcapacity".

The Egyptian side said that China's achievements in economic development are obvious to all and have made great contributions to the world economy. Like the mainstream public opinion in the international community, Egypt has great expectations for China's development prospects. The continued stigmatization of China by the Western media in international public opinion is a major challenge for China on the world stage. Every country should find a development path that suits it. The Arab world needs China to better introduce itself, and the Egyptian media will play a better role in reporting more about China's development achievements to the Arab world.
