Sheikh Saoud bin Sagar al-Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council of the UAE Federation and chief of Ras Al Khaimah, recently met with visiting Chinese Ambassador to the UAE Zhang Yiming at Ras Al Khaimah, saying that the friendship between the UAE and China has a long history, and we look forward to the joint efforts of the two sides to promote the continuous deepening of Arab-Chinese relations and achieve greater development.
From May 9 to 10, Zhang Yiming led a delegation composed of representatives of Chinese-funded institutions and media in Afghanistan to visit Ras Al Khaimah, inspect the Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone and enterprises such as Gulf Pharmaceutical and Ras Al Khaimah porcelain, and held talks with the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Association to discuss friendship and cooperation.

Chief Al-Khashi of Ras Al Khaimah said when meeting with Zhang Yiming and the delegation on the afternoon of the 9th that the ancient Silk Road linked the UAE to China. At present, both Argentina and China are in a critical period of development, and both hope to improve people's well-being and create a better world through development. Ras Al Khaimah is vigorously developing its economy, welcoming more Chinese enterprises to invest and do business in Ras Al Khaimah, and welcoming more people to visit Ras Al Khaimah for tourism and sightseeing, sharing prosperity and development, and deepening people-to-people bonds.
Zhang Yiming said that in recent years, under the strategic guidance and personal drawing of the leaders of the two countries, the China-Arab comprehensive strategic partnership has developed comprehensively, rapidly and deeply. Ras Al Khaimah enjoys a unique economic endowment and is constantly being renewed. China is a close friend of Ras Al Khaimah and the United Arab Emirates, and China is willing to promote the strengthening of cooperation between Chinese-funded enterprises and Ras Al Khaimah for common development.
Kahimi warmly invited the delegation to visit his private estate at the top of Jebel Jais. As the sun sets, Italian olive trees, Chinese wolfberries, French grapes and other plants are full of life. According to Kahimi, the Jaibel Jais Mountains were originally a wasteland, but through continuous efforts, the ecology here has been continuously improved. It reminded him of his visit to China. China was originally a poor and backward country, but through the hard work of the Chinese people, China has created a miracle of sustained economic development and long-term social stability. Therefore, we can conclude that the problem arises from people, and the solution of problems also lies with people. Ras Al Khaimah hopes to learn from China's development experience, strengthen practical cooperation with China, and promote continuous economic and social development.

In an interview with the media after the meeting, Kahimi stressed that the UAE and China have a long history of exchanges. The fragments of ancient Chinese porcelain discovered by the Sino-Arab joint archaeology in Ras Al Khaimah are a testimony to the friendly exchanges between the two sides. Over the past 40 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Argentina and China, the two sides have made great leaps forward in their economic and social development, and Arab-Chinese relations have entered the best period. In recent years, the relationship between the two sides has been further deepened, and Argentina and China share similar values and development strategies. More and more Chinese companies are investing in the UAE, and the scale of Chinese in the UAE is expanding. At the same time, the number of people traveling from the UAE to China is also growing, and the perception of China is growing.
Kasimi said that he was honored to attend the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in China last year and to experience first-hand China's tremendous development achievements. This forum is very Chinese. China has demonstrated its desire and leadership to build a better world through mutual respect and win-win cooperation with all parties.
