It is now a critical period for the post-management of wheat. In the past few days, the Fugou County Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau has taken effective measures to actively do a good job in the field management of wheat in the middle and late stages to ensure a bumper harvest of summer grain this year.
At present, the county's wheat harvest is in sight, but it is also facing the adverse effects of drought, dry and hot winds in the later period and extreme climate during the harvest period.
The county agriculture and rural bureau vigorously publicized the knowledge of "one spray and three prevention" pest control through the distribution of technical paper, WeChat groups, village-level loudspeaker broadcasts, etc., improved the ideological understanding of the masses, and mobilized cadres to actively participate in wheat field management. Organize agricultural technicians and cadres to go deep into the fields, conscientiously do a good job in spraying fertilizer, scientific irrigation, comprehensive prevention and control, etc., timely and accurately release trend forecasts and prevention and control information, and guide farmers to strengthen wheat field management, especially to strengthen the prevention and control of dry and hot air in wheat.
Li Maojun, deputy director and senior agronomist of Fugou County Agricultural and Rural Development Center, said: "Hot and dry wind is one of the main meteorological disasters in the late stage of wheat growth, which will cause the transpiration of wheat plants to intensify, reduce the photosynthesis of leaves, affect grain filling, slow down the accumulation of dry matter, and cause the decline of 1000-grain weight and yield of wheat. According to the forecast of the meteorological department, from May 15th to 25th, the weather in our county will be mainly sunny to cloudy, with a maximum temperature of 36 °C, and the risk of dry and hot wind disasters is high. At present, the wheat harvest is less than 20 days away, and the work is time-sensitive, and once the prevention period is missed, it will cause irreparable consequences. Therefore, it is necessary to put all preventive measures in place by May 20 as much as possible. First, do a good job of foliar fertilizer spraying in time. Foliar fertilizer spraying can not only supplement the insufficient nutrient supply in the late growth stage of wheat and prevent premature plant aging, but also the easiest and most effective measure to prevent dry and hot wind. Foliar fertilizers such as urea plus potassium dihydrogen phosphate and brassinolide can be sprayed before 10 a.m. and after 4 p.m. to promote grain filling and increase 1000-grain weight. 2. Scientific irrigation according to local conditions. For plots with insufficient soil moisture, a small amount of water should be supplemented by sprinkler irrigation, micro-spraying, drip irrigation, etc., so as to improve soil moisture, increase field humidity, ensure water supply, and enhance the ability of wheat to resist dry and hot winds. However, it is important not to flood the wheat to avoid lodging of wheat. After May 20, try not to water as much as possible, so as not to cause premature root senescence and death, affecting wheat grain weight and yield. 3. Comprehensive prevention and control of late-stage pests and diseases. It is necessary to combine the occurrence of powdery mildew and rust aphids in wheat fields, mix and spray fungicides, insecticides, foliar fertilizers, regulators, etc., so as to achieve "one spray and three preventions", prevent diseases and insects, prevent premature aging, and prevent dry and hot air. ”
